@arjie ,
First thing, you go to the service centre and get their opinion on this.Ask them to check it for the voltages are fine.The buzzing sound you mentioned, I remember reading sometime back that corsair smps' require pure sine wave a/c input and if your UPS is not providing it then the smps starts humming. Check the smps at the service centre for those buzzing problems. OR you can take the smps to any computer repair shop and tell the fellow to start the smps without connecting any pc components and check for the buzzing at his place.
Even if someone tries to peek into the smps by using bruteforce, and manages to dislodge any internal component, the damn thing wont even power up. So I feel it might be your power supply which is at fault here.
Also even if something blows up in it, there will be absolute no damage to the exterior container.Its really built like a tank, and the stuff which has the tendency to blow up are capacitors, but since they are designed to blow up in a certain way, they cause no damage, just a crack on top of them along the fracture zone.So its definitely someone trying to pry it open.
If worst comes to worst then I suggest split the loss with deep_nx. Send him the smps back and get half of your sum returned back. That depends on how deep_nx wants to sort out this thing too.
