Some Nokia Statements on record are very important.

"Nokia said in July it would introduce its first touch-screen phone this year, and would sell it more cheaply than rival touch-screen models in order to tap into a higher-volume market"

"The demand outlook in emerging markets, like India, is good for a cheaper touch-screen phone," said Hannu Rauhala, an analyst with Pohjola Bank.

Kai Oistamo, head of Nokia's devices business, said in July the Finnish firm was fully committed to bringing a complete portfolio of touch devices to the market, both in the high-end and low-end segments.

Just possible Omnia like prices might not prevail in the Tube and it might be retailed cheaper to attain the Typical Nokia High Volumes.

HOPE UR WORDS BECOME TRUE AND IT RETAILS FOR 15K:) :)

Well, the icons are looking pretty good on the large screen. Although, i am a bit apprehensive that the scrollbar is a bit too thin and i would like to see how good would it function with a finger instead of a stylus.

And if i see properly, the screen is a lower than the borders of the phone, which i must say is a big winner for a touch screen!

Since this is going to be a platform and not a single device, it would be interesting to see how Nokia shape things from here.

I dont think it will be as high as 30K, unlike Apple, Nokia did not have to create a new OS from ground zero, and they also had the hardware experience and manufacturing plants.
What i want to see is how does the Tube hardware match up with the iPhone hardware ( Camera, SpeakerPhone, Screen Quality and Build).

well the samsung f480 viewty are all touch as well and are priced at >20k so we cant really predict.

Nokia and touch screens dont really mix though. The 6708 was a god-awful phone

It shouldn't go above 20k.

Its express music phone. These are almost always meant for youth on budget. So if Nokia says 15-18k, I would believe it.

yeah it should be ard 15k to 17k mark as it is targeted as a mid range phone and this is the first phone in the xpressmedia series so I bet this would be ard 16k as high end models would be launched later.

I doubt that the phone be below 20k, the 8gb micro sd specially wont help much!

EDIT: Nvm, just looked up the price of 8gb micro sd $36 :O
