UnitedHealthcare CEO's Murder - Looks like everyone is celebrating

Disturbing findings by a study of social media trends around thid case

View attachment 218523

78.8% of 18-27 year old morons think murder is justified

This one is interesting. The more time a user spends on social media per day the more radical the views.

Hehe. The most radical people are found on Bluesky. Beating out Gab & 4chan

Psychological drivers

Young, heavy social media use and authoritarian tendencies more likely to justify violence :nailbiting:
Unfortunately, even radicalism comes in flavours and is highly subjective. For most of right wing topics, you would find X and Truth Social leading the way. In general, the lesser regulated and moderated platforms have the most extreme content and BlueSky hasn't really been able to scale up properly with the influx of users from X.

On the whole however, most of these so called "studies" are highly flawed. Wouldn't be surprised if they went to the specific boards posting about this topic for their "poll" which would heavily skew the result. Also, using terms like "44% of Americans" when their sample size would be mostly in hundreds or low thousands means nothing.

Anyway, least bothered about how dysfunctional the American society is.

Why don't you check the studies methodology and then point out any flaws rather than speculating and then insinuating.

It's troubling and may not be confined just to Americans

I scrolled through it. There are 1021 respondents which they say they have weighted (that they only know) for gender, race among others. I wouldn't call their demographics as being evenly balanced, so whatever works for their survey I suppose.

Didn't tell you how they picked the respondents?

Balanced from a male female pov

Income has equal proportions

Same for age.

Why do you say not evenly balanced?

Does shooting an innocent man in the back apply?
Innocence is subjective.

This is what Perplexity summarizes,
UnitedHealthcare and its CEO Brian Thompson were associated with several concerning business practices:

Insurance Denial Practices
- The company had a systematic pattern of denying medical claims, with shell casings at Thompson's murder scene inscribed with words like "deny," "delay," and "depose"[1].
- UnitedHealthcare used faulty artificial intelligence to assess and deny coverage for elderly patients, with the AI algorithm having a 90% error rate[3].
- The denial rate for seniors who suffered falls or strokes increased dramatically from 10.9% in 2020 to 22.7% in 2022 under Thompson's leadership[3].

Financial Controversies
- Thompson was involved in potential insider trading, selling over $15 million of his UnitedHealth shares before news of a DOJ investigation became public[8].
- The company planned to deny payments for what they deemed non-critical emergency room visits[3].
- Thompson earned approximately $10 million annually while patients struggled with coverage denials[2].

Specific Cases
- The company attempted to deny coverage for a chronically ill Penn State student, resulting in an $807,086 bill[4].
- Internal communications revealed company officials calculating cost savings from forcing patients to undergo cheaper, previously failed treatments[4].
- UnitedHealthcare misrepresented critical findings and ignored doctors' warnings about risks of altering patient drug plans[4].

Corporate Culture
- Company nurses were recorded laughing about denying claims, with one saying "I knew that was coming" regarding a denial decision[4].
- The company buried a doctor's report warning about health risks from denying treatment while accepting another report that rubber-stamped claim rejections[4].
- Thompson's wife confirmed he had received threats related to medical coverage decisions before his death[1].

Nope, they only specified the number of respondents and how they selected the mix to match with census distribution. Problem with internet surveys, since they don't even know if people responding belong to the demographics that they say they do. We joke about exit polls with a much larger sample size and hence it is generally difficult to accept such low-effort surveys especially when they can have such a high degree of bias and lack of transparency.

Innocence is subjective.
Innocent in the eyes of the law.

Hasn't broken any laws. That isn't subjective.

Vigilante justice isn't scalable.
This is what Perplexity summarizes
And as has been pointed out already, nobody is being forced to use united healthcare.

Its the arbitrary choice of a vigilante to turn them into the poster boys of healthcare insurance.

If their service is as bad as is claimed the company would have gone under. So evidently they are doing something right.

Too big to fall. No matter how much shady shit they pull off. Another good example is Nestle.
Youtube is aggressivly demonetizing video channel who supports Luigi or show sympathy. https://www.sportskeeda.com/us/stre...popular-channel-5-second-video-luigi-mangione

I don't think you realize that they're at war. Porn is fine because it makes them money. Gambling is fine because it makes them money. Memes about a guy that killed one of them are silenced instantly and conspicuously to send a very clear message to their investors that they toe the line. And to send a message to you and people in your position that you're supposed to toe the line as well.

Look what I found,
YouTube channels are being deleted and demonetized if you support Luigi.
A 5Second skit got whole channel demonetized. ( Somebody is working overtime )

It's to prevent copy cats because such media is tantamount to incitement.

You can see the stats above how people think if they spend more time on social media than not

Then it's a question of time before YT or similar itself gets sued for incitement.

There is no freedom of speech argument to be made and that's from an American pov let alone elsewhere where speech laws are stricter
