could you please separate pc and console

He mentioned it earlier, all the games listed will be there on the PC platform, as most are multi-platform titles. I doubt any of them are PC exclusive.

Mafia 2 !! Hope it kicks GTA4's ass...
It's not gonna happen. Mafia 2 may be good but wont be good enough to surpass or equal GTA IV.
GTA IV holds highest metacritic ratings for XBox 360 and PS3. If not for such a crappy PC port, it would be
dominant on PC also.

I got nothing to do with the ratings :P .. i still will prefer playing mafia 1 than gta san andreas ... awesome story line ...great gameplay...mafia roxx :D

Yeah for sure, going by the first game that is. The first game was simply awesome for its time....

But its a personal choice....

That's a pretty bold statement to make against a title which hasn't even been released yet, don't you think?

yes i agree that I am making a pretty bold statement. You are a more experienced gamer it may it even sound stupid to you.
I said that because GTA IV has a amazing story, which is quite rare in games. A game that truly makes you think about consequences. We have hell lot of Mafia stories in books, movies and games what different perspective could Mafia 2 (3,4,5...etc) could offer? Maybe the run and gun mechanism would be better than GTA IV, but the story, i dont think so.
Apart from the story the cars, the soundtrack, the ppl you meet, Liberty city everything was so amazing.

I'm not a "more experienced" gamer, just a casual gamer like most of us out here. That said, I myself have considered GTA IV to be one of the greatest sandbox action games. I haven't played the first Mafia game, nor have I seen any of the movies. I don't even know if it's (Mafia II) linked with the movie in anyway, is connected to the first game or a fresh new game altogether; none of us know that. Hence how can we even predict of it not surpassing GTA IV? We haven't even been introduced to it's complete gameplay mechanics, the characters, the weapons, side missions etc. There are so many things which are not revealed.

Moreover, when you say "We have hell lot of Mafia stories in books, movies and games what different perspective could Mafia 2 (3,4,5...etc) could offer?", I don't think every gamer out there may have read all those books, watched all those movies or played all the Mafia games. Do you remember GTA IV's storyline also included Mafia bosses? That's how Roman gets involved in those difficult circumstances in the first place. Jon Gravelli? Jimmy Pegorino? Vladimir Glebov? Who are those people? Nothing but Mafias or mobsters. GTA IV had a great deal of sub-plot linked around it.

Many games have had their fair share of Mafia linkages in them. So why do you doubt Mafia II's storyline won't offer something different on the table?

Also it's not necessary that if there are films, books and games already made, that a new game won't be able to offer something creative. The best example of this would be Chronicles of Riddick. It already had the movie franchise established, so why were both it's games such a hit? They offered a brand new storyline as opposed to the movies and a good one at that. I hope you understand what I mean to say.

^^ I think the GTA is strictly mediocre as far as story and settings go. Mafia had a wonderful background story, and the early th century settings are a charm...

Infact I may be one of the few guys, who did not enjoy GTA. It felt too repetitive...

Each to his own. I enjoyed GTA IV. Infact, it was one of the first GTA games that I enjoyed and completed. The storyline was pretty engaging and the characters were funny as hell. Same goes for it's expansion pack, The Ballad of Gay Tony. But I'm still looking forward to Mafia II.

Really no point in comparing the 2 games, one is not even out yet. GTA 4 is a great game for the 360 and PS3 but for the PC it is average cause of the simple fact that most gamers cant even get decent frame rates and is not a good port period. Whereas Mafia was developed for the PC and though it had hard requirements at the time it was still a great game, no matter what meta Critics might have given it. And as far as Mafia 2 goes, no point in comparing it at all, we all know the Hype with Far Cry 2 and Assassins Creed and it did not live up to the expectations at all...So leave that debate for the future....

And really we are all gamers, and we are all very different, someone loves GTA someone cant stand it, someone loves a great story, while others drool for graphics, some crave for a great multiplayer, some prefer a certain situation, some like retro stuff, some just want gameplay, some cant take any repetitiveness, some are loyal fans of a series, and some just like to play

.....lets all eagerly hope Mafia 2 is a kick ass game for the good of all gamers !!

Lets get back to the topic and lets share what other games are gonna come out soon....

Happy Gaming...

Cheers,

+1 to this ...

^^ Similar release dates as last year, as they follow a yearly cycle...so no point in adding them.....

Thank God there is someone in this world who also thinks GTA is boring ^_^ All gamers i know and even people who don't like games are all crazy GTA fans.

^^ Its there but no confirmed release date.

I'd love to add Battlefield 1943 once EA confirms its release date for PC....
