oh yes,its good enough..

check on the 2gb ram price though i think you missed 1 in 0.8k(should be 1.8k)

If u mean the Lan,g31 s2l,comes with gigabit connectivity..

went to sp road and came back with doubts

this is what was quoted to me

Motherboard: Gigabyte G31----2200

but the above doesn't come with graphics card slot as per them?

Processor: Intel E5200 3.3K - this is dual core and not core2duo..they instead suggested E7200

RAM: Transcend 2GB DDR2 800 Mhz -1990

HDD : Seagate 320GB SATAII -2150

Monito : saamsung S2033SW 7.5K--also suggest a 19 inch to reduce cost.

Keyboard:samsung Pleomax Ù€.2K

Mouse: Logitech Optical 0.4K

Cabinet: Zebronics Bijli ATX W/ bundled 400W SMPS 1.7k

Optical drive L.G GH22NS30 SATA/Samsung SHS22F SATA 1.1K

pls advice!

what gibberish, look at my siggy i have ati radeon 4670 installed on that motherboard, and i think you should go for a E7200

+1 to naveen,

but if you are looking at the same price amd phenom X2 550 is hard to beat(guess what it can be unlocked to quad core on a right batch)...its huge performance increase on the same budget

The E5300 and the E7500 are both wolfdale architecture. The only difference is FSB speeds(800vs1066) and the cache size(2MB vs 3MB). Its just intel's naming tactic. The G31 IGP is very bad.:@ If you not going for a GPU i would suggest this config.

Proccy- AMD AthlonII 240 (2.8GHz)- 3.1k

M/B- Biostar A785GE - 3.2k (Has a very good IGP(HD 4200) capable of playing light games and HD videos)

Ram- Transcend 2GB 800MHz DDRII -2k

HDD- Seagate 500GB 7200.12 SATA 3.5" -2.4k

Samsung 20" 2033 - 7.5k

Cabinet- Zebronics Bijili with 400w SMPS - 1.7k

Optical Drive- any DVDRW- 1.1k

Speakers - Altec Lansing BXR1221 -1.1k

Logitech combo - 0.7k

This system will cost you 22-23k approx. Its a bit more than the intel config(0.8-1k) but as a combo the AMD is better than the Intel.

IMO, a ati 4670 would suit you just fine if you are on a budget.Serious gaming then a minimum of ati 4870
