Hi Guys,

Need to finalize this today.

Please suggest , i want proper resolution support at lower resolutions also

and good picture quality for gaming and movies.

Text should be clear.

Benq doesnt work well on lower resolutions.
damn confused now which lcd to get.

please help me out.

I think text will look too tiny & washed out on a 22" with 1920x1080 so better buy Samsung T220 :)

dude buy best na E2200 HD one time investment for 2 to 3 years atleast plus you will get dvi and hdmi port

T2200 is not HD E2200HD is HD :)

samsung is alos a very good option if little low on budget

i am using E2200HD and picture quallity is awesome

you will love it just see it once

text is very much clear yar buy it with ur eyes closed

what about benq resolutions lower than 1680 it doesnt look good na.

Will be getting a 4850 so will be able to run games smoothly at 1680

Err....Both at Full HD monitors:ohyeah: .... I had the pleasure of owning both of them....used the T2200HD for a month till the E2200HD was available locally....
T2200HD does not have inbuilt speakers and HDMI port...else all specfics are same...

But one major difference b/n the T & E is that T2200HD does not wrk well in resolution lower than the native resolution wehereas the E2200HD works wonerfully at all resolutions:)

IMO go for the E2200HD

GUYS...He is talking about "SAMSUNG T220" , and not the BENQ T2200HD , samsung also has a HD version of T220 called the T220HD , while the Benq one is T2200 HD

Still waiting for someone to report on BenQ after sales service.

I know that Samsung ASS is very good. Keep that in mind. A single dead pixel got my cousin a new panel.

IMHO,

Samsung better at 1680x1050 or less...

:u watch Movies @1080p, 720p, etc.

:u play games @ 1680 or lower

Benq Gr8 for 1920x1080

:u watch movies only @1080p (Blu-ray Rips)

:u game @1920x1080

get BenQ only, sharpness feature works gr8, @ level 4 text is crystal clear just like any CRT. and games look good @ 1680 too if need arises.

ill recommend a monitor with 1080p support.

but keep in mind that E2200HD is smaller that T220. its almost the same width, but T220 is some 1.5 inch taller.

i have seen E2200 with my friend and it looks nice.. texts are nice and readable. but here, the service is damm crappy. if service of the Benq monitor is not an issue with u, then go for it..

u talkin abt screen size or monitor size?

I've been using the Benq E2200HD for about a month...the text is very crisp and clear and movies and tv shows also look very good.

Havent compared it to any other 22" lcd's but i am pretty satisfied with my experience so far.

+1 for E2200HD ...using for more than 1 month :) no backlight bleeding ,ghosting etc.

no issues at all ..here's a short review kinda thing from my side.I hope it helps you in making your purchase.

Gaming.

no problems with most of the games using a HD 4850 ..all the games usually run at high or ultra high settings ...other than Crysis ofcourse :P

i ve played a few games(crysis) @ 1680 X 1050 instead of native

1920 X 1080 ..and they dont look bad...very much playable.

but yeah anything lower than 1680 x 1050 it looks crappy .

Text /General Use.

as sidhu punjab said ..text and surfing is also really good ..with the sharpness set @ 4.

i ve moved on from a 17 " CRT and i dont find any difficulty while reading E-books or surfing..:)

coming to movies.

the colours of E2200HD are quiet good out of the box(TN panel standards),doesnt need much calibration..

the viewing angles are also decnet..i was kind of specitica about getting a TN panel as i usually watch movies with 2-3 friends together or 1-2 family members at time.

but sitting litlle bit close by ..3-4 people can easily watch a movie on the screen..

ive seen lot of TN panel LCD's at my friends place..and by far E2200HD has got one of the best viewing angles when it comes to TN panels.

unlike what ive seen with most old TN panel LCDs colours getting washed out and changing drastically at wide viewing angles ..same doesnt hold true for this monitor.

i guess with new technology, TN panels too are improving to some extent ..

i say that cause i usually had a perception that my monitor being in one corner of the room and entrance(door) at the other corner..

i used to feel that LCD would look totally washed out from such and angle..but it doesnt ..

there's a very slight change in colour. and you can clearly see the movie.

I noticed this while watching Victoria's Secret 2008 today.

HD movies.

HD movies look really good ..specially the 1080p rips .

frankly speaking ,sitting 5-6 feet away you cant make out much difference between 720p and 1080 p ..

but incase you sit close to the monitor 1080p makes a difference ,as in some 720 p movies you can see those whitish dots\blurriness in black scenes.

so coming to the point

..get the E2200HD eyes closed if you-

1) the LCD will be primarily used by 1 person at a time or max 3-4 for watching movies.(this applies to all TN panels)

2)have a good enough graphics card to drive it ..and you will be using it to watch HD movies+ 1080p gaming.

3)incase you plan to get a console in the future ,HDMI port will be a + for you.

Flaws ...- hmm cant think of any as such.

one thing that can be considered as -ve ..is that since its a 21.5 " LCD with native resolution of 1080p ..you need a really good card to play games at fairly high settings.

its like you need the same power from the card that would take to drive a 24" monitor..so maybe you miss out on 2 "

nothing other than that.

..i have no idea about the support and services of BenQ.

Hope this was helpful .

Got the E2200HD , but i am having troubles configuring it on my old system.

GPU is Radeon 3450.

I have tried both DVI and VGA ports , the screen displays for some second then it is blank for few seconds again shows some part of the booting process later it doesnt show me the login prompt at all.

Currently my 17' crt is at 1024 x 768 should i change the resolution and then switch off.

confused. ????
