Hi, I am buying my system today, I need help..

Processor - Phenom 965BE 3.4 ghz

Mobo - ??

Ram - Want to go for any 1600 module of (2 x 2 gb each)

(if any of the mobo/combinations support 1600...or should I just take 1066?)

GPU - ATI HD4850

PSU - Corsair 750tx

HDD - 1tb Seagate 7200.12

Op Dr - HP

Cabinet - CM690

Monitor - Dell S2409W 24 " Full HD Widescreen Flat

Kybd Mouse Logitech Wireless

Please recommend good motherboards within 7k range (not necessarily supporting SLI or Xfire)

Will a Corsair 550vx suffice if I add soundcard/HDD's another gfx card in the future?

You should have read this : http://www.techenclave.com/pc-peripherals/template-what-should-i-buy-use-143714.html and you didn't mention your budget.

Anyway, as you have very little time, I'm giving few points.

You don't need TX750. A VX450 / CM Reakpower 460W would do. If you want to add few more HDDs or buy a new graphic card later, consider these

1. Tagan BZ 500W @ ~4.5k,

2. Seasonic SII12 Bronze 500W ~4.5k

3. Corsair VX550 ~5.7k

Under 7k, Asus 785G EVO DDR3 mobo is good but not sure whether it supports 1600MHz RAM. If you can increase your budget a little bit, then MSI 790GX-GD65/70 will be better.

Though you didn't mention about the monitor, I'm assuming that its 20"/22". So get a ATI 4870 1GB for ~9.5k or ATI 5770 1GB for 10.6k as budget permits.

Get OCZ / G.Skill / Corsair for RAM.

On second thought, check whether i5 is available at your place. Then an i5 750 + Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 @ 17k makes more sense.

sorry for leaving out sum of that vital information...

i5 is available but having way too many issues with the foxconn sockets...makes no sense to get it really

thanks for ur replies

so 550vx will be enuff for my monitor,2 hdds and gfx cards and a sound/tv tuner card?

is the stock cooler good for phenom 965?

Motherboard - Gigabyte 785GMT-UD2H-5.9k(mATX, 1*PCIE 16 slot, DDRIII upto 1666MHz,1800(O.C)MHz)

ASUS M4A78STD-V-EVO-6.5k(mATX, 1*PCIE 16 slot, DDRIII upto 1666MHz,1800(O.C)MHz)

Biostar TA790GX A3+-6.5k(ATX, 2*PCIE 16 slot, DDRIII upto 1333MHz,1600(O.C)MHz).

Choose according to your need. Plus go for the 955BE instead of the 965BE. The 955 is a 125wTDP against the 140wTDP of the 965BE.

But i would suggest you go for the core i-5750+Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2~17k. The i-5 has a 95TDP!!! and ya the VX550 would suffice
