PC Peripherals USB 3.0 PCI card

^^ just my humble suggestion dx is risky as per my last experience if u dont take the express shipping route. The free shipping option is risky.

I would say get the Zebronics model. It has VLI800 chipset which is more or less similar performing compared to the ageing NEC chipset. Also there are both 32/64 bit Win 8 drivers available on the VIA website for the card. You will also get 1 year local warranty.

I am yet to see an Etron chip based USB 3.0 card which is suppose to be the fastest.

DX can still be used for non electronic cheap components like cables, converters & other PC accessories, though I would avoid it for addon cards which are liable to get damage in transit.I would also re-iterate that my experience with them is fulfilling till now. Received one of my packages from them last week. Delayed but delivered. Others may not agree based on their experience...

Thanks, HailStonE
Do you mind if i request the link for the above said model?
i got the following links when i searched for "VLI800" in DX website. There must be a valid reason why one costs double of the other ..... if you have one with more USB ports.. i will be still happier.. :)

Thanks HailStonE
Surprisingly i received the card today.. that is less than 24hrs of ordering the same . flipkart has competition :)
will know if things are all right on Sunday..when i assemble all the components.. :woot:

So instead of making a new thread, bumping this one:

Want to add a USB 3.0 card on my desktop as my current one is limited to 2.0 only.
Was searching listings on Ebay and got confused seeing these 2:

1) http://www.ebay.in/itm/TRANSCEND-Du...203&hash=item2a1d6fda18&_uhb=1#ht_7036wt_1163
2) http://www.ebay.in/itm/Transcend-Ex...HDD&hash=item2a31fb1a02&_uhb=1#ht_5072wt_1163

What exactly is the difference between the two ? I searched a bit more and got info that some need a molex connector/extra power, PCI-E 2.0 is a must etc.
Here're my PC specs:

1) CPU-Z: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tl62ovd7feehczo/Alekh-PC.html
2) Speccy: https://www.dropbox.com/s/48evvoli9y9wbxh/Alekh-PC.speccy

Kindly help.

First one is only USB 3.0 (2port) card while the second one has 2x USB 3.0 + 2x SATA III ports as well to connect internal SATA HDD or optical drive.

One with molex power is preferred since PCI-E 1x does not have enough juice to send enough power to some external HDD.. As for PCIe 2.0, its usually recommended so that the interface is not bottlenecked. Though most devices will not saturate it unless you are using SSD's

Summary of PCI Express Interface Parameters:
Base Clock Speed: PCIe 3.0 = 8.0GHz, PCIe 2.0 = 5.0GHz, PCIe 1.1 = 2.5GHz
Data Rate: PCIe 3.0 = 1000MB/s, PCIe 2.0 = 500MB/s, PCIe 1.1 = 250MB/s
Total Bandwidth: (x16 link): PCIe 3.0 = 32GB/s, PCIe 2.0 = 16GB/s, PCIe 1.1 = 8GB/s
Data Transfer Rate: PCIe 3.0 = 8.0GT/s, PCIe 2.0= 5.0GT/s, PCIe 1.1 = 2.5GT/s

Hi guys
I was on lookout for a USB 3.0 PCI card for my PC running on Win 8
ZEBRONICS CP43U13 : this model is not available on ebay
It seems to be available on Amazon but I am vary about the seller :http://www.amazon.in/gp/offer-listing/B00IQCMUNO/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all

I found one with 4 ports from Zebronics, it mentions that Win 8 is supported. Can I go ahead and buy this
http://www.ebay.in/itm/Zebronic-4-P...omputer_Components&hash=item5d4b78e068&_uhb=1

Any other suggestions on a 2/4 port card that is compatible with Win 8 available for online ordering?

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

My last few experience with dx have been horrible. Never received the shipment. Had to wait 60 days as per their policy. They agreed to re ship the order and did not receive that also.

^..Got my last order in April 2014... It must be your local post office/ postman, Also depends on how bulky your item is. Simple things tend to get delivered fast & with bulky ones customs may inspect thoroughly...

I don't think speeds with a PCI USB3 cards would be as fast as having USB3 on the mobo. This thread hovers around connectivity options :p
