well the prime's site is showing 5740 with 5470 and not 5650

This is a misprint as it came written on the outer box(brown box):
Corei5430.....
Here only 5430 is visible(due to acer's advertisement stickers) and so they've written wrong name. I'd told Swapnil the entire config. along with model number 3days in advance and so he reserved one for me. Even the Acer Mall guy told me that such model doesn't exist. Just tell Swapnil that you want the same laptop that Aman(me) had purchased from Prime .

my laptop manual says 2years limited warranty on the laptop and its contents---i confirmed with the service center where the msi people told me they are offering 2 years of warranty.
i have mentioned if you need a 15.6 inch laptop u can buy the acer but for a more portable solution MSI is better - its 14 inchers are really light mine weighs all of 2 kgs.

This is what my MSI CR400 lappy's warranty booklet says:

Is there any possibility that there might be a subsequent warranty policy change ?. Did you read the manual carefully ?

Why don't you call up the service center and find out? Even if its one year i am not going to be complaining atleast the laptop comes with 2 years of warranty most people don't get that extra 1 year warranty with their laptops. and a laptop adapter maybe worth 1500-2000 rs so it is affordable if it conks out after a year.

I called up the service centre the next day itself after i bought my laptop. They confirmed it to be 1 yrs warranty only for accessories. Now what to do ?.
Could you plz upload a snapshot of that particular page of your lappy's manual ?.
