I have seen threads of this inlet outlet pipe gets stripped when people screw and unscrew their hoe hoses on regular basis, I suggest just screw it once and leave it, and also don't over tighten it.

Otherwise this Quick connect/disconnect accessory exists, which is made of brass, much higher quality. But if we are trying to spend as little as possible on a machine which is not meant to be reliable, then it's better to just avoid. Set it up once and leave it.

How the machine works?

This may help you take better care of the machine, once you understand the inner workings.

There is a pressure switch inside the machine, it's job is to turn off the motor once the pressure inside your outlet hose where the gun is attached at the end, reaches a preset value. So if there is a leak on the outlet side somewhere (hose+gun), motor might not stop on it's own, when you de-press the gun trigger.

When you press the gun trigger, it creates a small opening at the end of the gun, basically we intentionally create a leak, the pressure switch detects that leak and turns ON the motor, and you get pressurized water flow, as soon as you de-press the gun trigger, that small opening is closed now, and the pressure inside reaches a threshold value and the pressure switch turns off the motor.

Never ever try to unscrew the outlet hose when it is pressurized, you basically won't be able, upon force it can be damaged, this is most common mistake people make. Release the pressure first by holding the gun trigger.

Which means after the washing is done, kill the main power switch and release the pressure. We don't want the hose to stay pressurized when not in use.

Product description says 8L/H but it should be 8L/min. There are other products with flow rate of 6.5L/min at the same 150 bar pressure.

It's something to consider depending on water availability, the surface you want to clean and how fast it needs to be done.

The bar pressure on the pump is not accurate, the actual pressure is somewhere between 30-60, but even 30-60bar pressure is enough for us, cause in day to day life we never experience this. It is enough to push the gun back, if not held tightly, you will feel the power.

8L/min can easily be evaluated, this is more important metric than the bar pressure for us, hold the trigger start the timer, collect the water from gun in a tub for 1 minute, at the end, measure the total water in the tub. Will be close to 6-8L.

You're referring to something specific here but that underlined part made me think in a broader sense about pressure washers.

That is, below a certain price point these products are not maintainable. So go with whatever is cheapest and replace as necessary.

The natural reflex is to go for something branded, Karcher/Bosch etc. But what I've seen especially with their lower end offerings is lots of complaints about durability on Amazon, that the product won't make it past a year or more of regular use. User abuse can be cited only upto a point.

To have a maintainable product requires a higher spend. And this is a product that will get regular use over the years. If it could last with some best practices.

Otherwise you're only going to keep replacing this thing every year or so.

One in my family has this bosch pressure washer, I have used it too.

The only problem with this was the gun, it leaked every year, making the pressure washer useless, we had to buy the gun again and again, I think it costs around 2k. Rest of the machine is solid, we are suppose to service it, but we never did in the 7-8 years. So when we spend extra money on these, we get a reliable main product, the accessories will break, but the actual motor is solid.

But the worst part for me about this is the noise it creates, it's ear piercing. The cheap 3-4k pressure washer are made on inferior technology but they produce far lower non-harsh sound.

Any particular Triplex model that you can recommend that can be purchased in India online?
BT 1200 HPW while I haven't used it. I have seen this and specs like pressure rating is over inflated by 30% by the indian importer/rebadging stuff. But you get spares. You can see in their own products how the addition of triplex pump increases the cost vs a regular axial pump.

I personally use bosch GHP 5-13C which has a made in Italy brass triplex pump, it's a workhorse. Notice how overinflated the indian importers spec the chinese stuff compared to bosch for the given watts of the motor.

The Bosch , Karcher low end ones have a motor which is similar to a mixer used in the kitchen . They are brush motors which have better starting torque while the cheap chinese ones are induction motors .
The electric pressure switch in branded or unbranded will stick or get stuck if the washer is not used for a few months .
With regard to the gun , I use an agriculture spray gun for which I got the hose done with nozzles and crimps at a repair shop '/
