What exactly is Government of India doing?

Really sad. That's health ministry talking through ICMR.
Maharashtra alone has more than thousand cases where no definite source of infection could be found ( 1 such case = community transmission)
West Bengal ( mostly Kolkata) will have a big surge of cases soon.
Spoke to Didi over phone, really feeling sad for her. After the cyclone, there's nothing much anyone can do.
Surprisingly came to know about that cyclone from a local news channel. The Indian national news channels ( which I have access to) didn't really cover the natural disaster, can't access any Bengali channel for a week now!!

For a moment there i thought you called the CM of West Bengal and spoke to her! then realized it must be your sister you spoke to.

What is going wrong in Gujarat ? a lot apparently

You'd think Gujarat could do a lot better than this !!

You were right. Called Mamata Banerjee. Due to this pandemic, have contact numbers of some politicians/ mantris.
She's the most approachable one as CM, her only condition was to call her between 10 and 11 pm Indian time.

You shouldn't ask questions about Gujrat. We specifically requested some documents ( they were serotyping the virus and got a bunch of Ls) and this was the answer ( do your work with whatever states you people are assigned with, we don't need foreign scientists and doctors for Gujrat.
They have dealt with plague earlier, they can do it now)

I have a theory that community transmission has been going on ever since Jan-Feb 2020. It is only severe symptomatic cases that came to notice and the GoI stated "tracking" and "contact tracing" them. Being quite smug they felt that they've controlled everything via Lockdown.

The lockdown has been quite severe in India so I have reasons to believe that community transmission wouldn't have started post Lockdown imposition.

That's the price one pays today for not being a "yes-man" to the autocratic Tridev.

Should airlines be allowed to operate??I mean what was the need?
Feels like its not Government.... rather Circus - nothing is planned and no plan is made - adhoc decisions. Airlines and Trains started without any planning and now Airline and train staff is going to suffer of the result of adhoc decisions like what our doctors and nurses are suffering too (who have started treating the covid-19 without PPE, no masks).

Precisely, first the medical fraternity, then police(Mumbai-2000+ cops active cases), then PSU staff(rail and airlines).
And the worst... petty politics in Maharashtra at the time of this pandemic.

This is the reason the poorer European country I live in, which doesn't have advance medical care except for big cities, the PM himself talks to common people, professionals in various fields before taking any decision.
He has no illusions about the nation's strengths and weaknesses.
He's a smart man ( not super smart like India's)
From the first plan about lockdown everything has been transparent and open. Any Czech citizen can search for it online and raise questions.
He kept telling, we must avoid confusion among our citizens.

You can't really compare the two, they have 129 crore fewer people than us.
As for their leaders, they have had that drunk CCP puppet Milos in different positions for decades.

This is Worst - our beloved Railway Minister and beloved Communications and IT, Law and Justice Minister busy doing petty politics - as if they are not the ministers for GoI and instead ministers for BJP.
And for Modi Bhakts - despite seeing what these ministers doing - our beloved PM is silent (as if he is approving their actions)... are they all ministers/designated office bearers or their allegiance is with BJP and has nothing to do with the nation.

PS: I dont side with RaGa either - both the parties (Congress and BJP) deserve to be on their deathbed.. worst ppl to deal with.

129 crore extra people can be excuse for unleashing someone's foolishness on the most vulnerable part of population.
Specially, when these politicians endorse the burden Indian population themselves.

I didn't get what you're trying to say due to the phrasing.

please ignore.
I have lost my mind these days because of all the news about labourer's crisis going on.

It isn't surprising tbh, I realized ages ago that all politicians are full of sh*t, it doesn't matter what they say or what political party or ideology they owe their allegiance to, they don't give a damn about anyone and nothing ever changes no matter who is in power.
At least now it's out in the open for everyone to see except the blind followers, too bad people have short attention spans and they'll forget all of this before the next election cycle, all you can do is not let it affect you.

Perhaps you should see "The Satya show" on YouTube. You would feel a bit on the lighter side.
Please ignore if Bhatki is your priority!!
P.S- Do ignore if you are below 18, although it won't matter these days.

Was it Miloš Zeman you were talking about? He is our president.
I was talking about Andrej Babiš, he's no angel, he had ties with former state security police, stolen millions from EU subsidies etc.
But he realised the Corona situation very early and made a very transparent plan which could be understood even by the gypsies
