CPU/Mobo What if i trick AMD to RMA my processor ?

guys i have a normal working AMD processor, now once my freinds mobo got bad and he gave for rma in return they dint hav the specific model so they gave him a really high model for 300rs extra so iwas thinking if i take my amd phenom x4 9550 to the rashi and 9550 r not availale now and wat if they give me phenom 2

Dont they check if the processor works ??? They checked my PSU many times b4 they found something was wrong. Its a different thing that you kill it and then send it for rma.
Tell more about your frens story (What mobo he got and stuff)
 
Well regardless of whether they RMA it or not, its merely a matter of ethics. If you have none, please go ahead :)

Easier said than done- and best if such thing is not done.

You could try saying that the temperatures are not being indicated properly. There some minor cases of processors being RMA this way. They will obviously check it. You could always sell the processor in the market and buy some other processor. As said by eddy, if you don't have any ethics just like some people , do it. Just don't create a rant thread if your "plan" backfires. You reap what you sow.
