I think this is really the worst time for getting a PS4. I am also on the lookout for one & cannot seam to find any at reasonable rate. I think a price of up to 15k-16k is still reasonable for a PS4 slim in good condition even in the current market but unfortunately due to no availability of PS4 consoles & lack of PS5's, third part sellers have started asking a lot of premium on these consoles which in turn have increased their prices in the used market as well. A prospective owner who want to play PS games & join the PS bandwagon now has no option except to buy these used consoles at atrocious prices or go all way & spend 50k on a PS5 if they can find one. Many folks now have some extra time & money on their hands thanks to COVID & they are buying these consoles at such prices.
I remember in early 2020 a regular PS4 500GB in repaired conditions was easily available for 11-12k on game loot if memory servers me right, similar consoles are now selling for 17k at the same place. This reminds me of a funny olx interaction that I had today with a PS4 buyer. This guy was selling his OG PS4 500GB for ~18k. Since his location was nearby mine, I decided to talk & asked if the warranty sticker was intact. He casually mentioned, of course not! Since you are required to get you PS4 serviced every 6 months how can it be intact

.
To the OP, if you just want to game & have no specific intention of playing PS games... you should go with a Xbox. Try to find a good condition one S at around 12-13k mark or better yet spend 20k-25k & get a new/old Series S. It will last you a long time & will still have higher resale value in the future.
