thing is either PAN card is mandatory while buying cars(especially expensive ones) or it isnt.I cant believe that IT dept wont enforce a rule to make it mandatory for dealers to get PAN details every time,or maybe that is already a rule.i mean that's the most easy way to catch people with black money. So i think in case you are not willing to give PAN details then instead of losing a customer dealers must be submitting fake PAN details to RTO and IT dept and telling them that this is what customer provided them .

Ever since modi has brought ford and tata to Gujarat. Land pricing is booming in and around ahmedabad. I have witnessed myself that farmers and land brokers have bought Audi A4 in cash. Dealers know the jugaad for sure.

Alright on Sunday i was at a few dealerships for mid segment cars. I asked the above questions for personal info and to clear all doubts.
Visited South mumbai dealerships of VW, skoda, Apex and arya Honda, Nissan and Auto hanger for used merc.
Each and every one of em gave me the same answer. I asked them what if i wanna pay in cash?
They said 40% cash is allowed but will need a pancard copy and a address proof.
I asked them will it be an untracked entry? They said that they will issue an invoice for sure. not possible without an invoice. ( if he issues an invoice with my pan no in his record, it really doesnt matter cause my entry has gone. In that case i might as well pay in cheque)
I said can you in any way make an untraceable invoice. I am ready to pay premium + will take a lot of accessories from you? Without any hesitation all of them said that for the car an invoice will be issued come what may. For the accessories they can make it a only cash no invoice deal.
By now i knew they aint budging so finally checked if the 40% can be converted to 60 or 70% cash component. Again flatly a no. Only 40% max.
Here i am talking abt south mumbai Dealerships.
The cars in question were octavia, superb, Jetta, Honda crv, second hand merc/a4/bmw c. basically 18-27 range.
Now, if anyone knows anyone who will take the only cash non traceable, non pan card, no address proof deal, i will personally go there to buy the car and will post all details of the deal here.
Give me the name and contact persons no. I am dead serious about it and extremely interested. Infact why only me, ill give the contact to all my business colleagues, im sure they will all be interested in such a transaction. I am from Mumbai.
