Graphic Cards Which card is better 4 crossfire or sli...'

Hi guys...,as I am building a gaming rig in Amd platform mostly phenom 940 or a 955 rig....'

I want 2 know which card is good 4 crossfire ... Is dual hd 4770 is better or something higher like hd 4870 would fit in...'

Some guys suggest that hd 4770 is good in crossfire and gives good result in hd gaming...'
Need ur suggestions badly...'

Can I crossfire gtx 260...? I don't know abt nvidia and Amd stuffs so kinda foolish question...'
 
Will depend on your budget and your resolution .

But purely in terms of power consumption and VFM , 4770 CF is a great option
 
My budget is 25k and I will b using a 24 inch lcd moniter and play games in a 42 inch lcd tv...'

Can I set gtx 275 in crossfire...' I can increase my budget...'

Also suggest a good 790 gx mobo with crossfire support...'
 
If by better you mean more efficient, then 4770.
4770 has the highest performance:efficiency ratio, so you might find more value in it than other combinations if you don't have to do a PSU upgrade to crossfire them.

If max performance is what you're after, then it's simple to figure out.

Who said GTX 275 SLI and GTX295 has the same performance??:no: GTX 275SLI has more performance to offer than 295!!

What res are u looking at?

Neither the 24" monitor, nor the 42" LCD TV can go above 1920x1200.



Now check ur links/comparison charts again...

The GTX 275 is within +-2% of GTX 295

And, if u want GTX 295 to beat GTX 275 SLI by a 5% margin, then u shud know, the GTX 295 OVerclocks better than GTX 275 as GTX 275 has alrdy been teaked to slightly higher clocks.

End result:

GTX 295 BEATS GTX 275 SLI by 2 or 3%!!!

So, GTX 295 (Single Card) is better than GTX 275 SLI (Becoz OCs better, Power consumption and cost of mobo)

IMHO:

Its wud be just personal opinion between GTX 275 SLI, HD4890 CF, GTX 295

All three are excellent options.

i didnt get the performance per watt chart ?

anyone who is spending 30 K on gfx cards looks at that pretty much last , if at all !!

also i am talking about stock volts/frequencies and about pure performance numbers , and not about overclocking the gtx 295 or about the cost of the motherboard and stuff like that..

At stock out of the Box the gtx 275 sli config is better.

OC is a completely different story ...what if the gtx 275's overclock further ? no one can say .. that will differ from card to card !!!

but yes i agree that all three GTX 275 SLI, HD4890 CF, GTX 295 are just a matter of personal opinion.. :)

they are all excellent options for TOP performance.

Just buy the single fastest card you can find, like the GTX 285. The multi-GPU setups don't scale across the board.

Next is what abt 2*hd 4870 in crossfire or gtx 260 in sli... Also a good mobo with model no and prices 4 the hardwares....'
