Hi,i have build a new cpu(core i5 3450,4gb ram,1tb hdd,cx430).Now i am thinking of getting a graphic card that can run 1080p games.please suggest me some graphic that can run on cx430psu.Thanks

@vikundefined these are your options --
  • AMD HD6770 ~6800/- (weakest performer)
  • AMD HD7750 [900MHz core-clock] ~7200/-
  • nVidia GTX550Ti ~7000/-
  • AMD HD7770 GHz edition ~9500/-
  • AMD HD6850 ~9000/-
  • AMD HD7850 2GB ~16500/- (best performer)

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

I have a doubt on HD78xx and GTX560Ti if they can able to manage itself easily on cx430v2..
Why should he take risk on HD78xx. IMO , OP should think for HD7770 as its a best mid range GPU out there.

@vikundefined you shouldn't create multiple threads for same purpose,Sapphire HD7850 will run ok on CX430V2 but you should try not to overclock it as your psu can go kaput.

Sorry for the the other thread.i don't intend to overclock at all.but i think minimum 550watts is required by the 7850.....?.correct me if i am wrong.

Both hd 7850 and 6950 need 500watts psu as mentioned by amd website.i have a budget of 15k,but i dnt want to change the psu rite.so needs a graphic card dat can run on cx430 without any problem

HD6950 is not recommended on CX430V2 as it draws lot more power,Seasonic S12ii 520W is what one should have if he wants to get HD6950,Also since HD7850 beats HD6950 in performance it's better to go for HD7850.
what about HD6950.. ????

so you are saying that a cx430 will run a 7850......?

What if its VX450 instead...

It's a risky business still you can try it on VX450 but it's not recommended,Hey one good thing you can get out of it is if VX450 goes kaput you'll get TX550M which will be good enough to handle HD6950.:P

Then I m wondering wht will happen to high end PSU's since dual gpu setup is not successful at all due to driver glitches and now a days Nvidia and ATI are inclining themselves to low wattage GPU's to be in competition. Bye Bye 800W + PSU's

It is simply called progress, it amortizes the past monuments of glory, sweeping them in lieu of the new.

Most gamers these days have it easy compared to what the situation was like ~5 years ago.
