^^^Why waste money if you can get the same/even better looks than OSX/Vista [ Except Gamng] .. http://www.techenclave.com/forums/ubuntu-customization-guide-v2-101601.html . Apart from that you can customize Linux to your need.. If you want Eyecandy openSUSE is just the distro you are looking for..

But when it comes to usabilty/ease of use + Eyecandy Mandriva /Linux Mint /Sabayon are other options.. There are few other good looking OS like Vector Linux and Ubuntu Studio.

But its depends on person to person.. Everyone has different taste.. and its not necessary that the look I like should suites other user.. So if you want to chose Eye Candy check the above mentioned .. :)

I like the looks of Vista and OSX but one of my friend had a stunning Linux desktop so maybe after going through Darky's guide i'll be able to achive it.

Good work in the customization guide Darky :)

.........if one does not take into consideration things like compatibility, usability, software availability.... on purely looks only... then hands down Linux. AFAIK there is nothing as responsive or as slick as compiz fusion. I think it is hard to nail it down to a distro since most of the common ones can use it equally.

windows 98  .. frankly speaking.. i found ubuntu and its variants nice.. never tried out other distros as i am a noob in linux yet.. oh yes.. vista of course is "only" an eyecandy.. i can say that :P

There is no answer to some questions. "Best looking", "Best Religion", "Best Language"... some questions are just perspective. Personal perspective that is.

I might find a Ferrari F450 better looking than a Ferrari F430 and any Italian will kick my a** for saying so!!

best looking and best Operating System? one answer = GNU/Linux :)

Open Suse and Mandriva gives more importance to eyecandy to attract window$ addicted .!-2 's ;)

Here is a small demonstration of Compiz Fusion 0.76 with Mandriva 2008.1 ..

Note : Everything is default except Wallpaper and Compiz Version/Plugin !

Looks cool man !

Although i find the 3D cube like arrangement a bit stupid :P
Just not my personal taste.
