hey the sony S series does not have wide gamut color display u have mistaken it with LIVE COLOR CREATION.
superczar said:Nopes, the 32s310 has the wide color gamut (whatever that means) , not the 32s200/32s300 which are currently available with Sony India

Anyway, here's where the Sony specs site says CCFL gen 2 (which apparently equates to wide color gamut) whatever that may be...
Sony Singapore : KLV-32S310A (KLV32S310A) : Details

So how does it support 1080p? Does the support here mean that the TV and take a 1080p input and automatically convert it to its supported resolution?

Also, these are not advertised as True HD. They are called "HD Ready". So remember, HD ready means 720p (1366x768), while Full HD mean 1080p.vivekbabbudelhi said:1080p is supported input signal format.
tv can ACCEPT input upto 1080p but CAN ONLY DISPLAY IT UPTO 1366 x 768p... or the Panel resolution.......here the internal processor of tv would process and convert 1080i/p to the internal scan circuits of the TV i.e. Panel resolution so all 1080i/p HD is down converted before displaying......this is the trick.....
