51-70k Which light and portable laptop would be best under ₹70000?

Ok. I have bought the 8gb variant (as 16 was out of stock) and now I want to buy one more laptop with same specifications but with atleast of 15.6" screen...

I had to buy a laptop for my sibling but now my parent also needs a laptop for their work. But the only extra requirement is a big screen of a minimum of 15.6" screen.

She is a professor and has to carry it to collage and back to home everyday. So it must be light and portable... So...

Again I am here to ask you... Which one you recommend..
Please..please...please help me...

Well, for a 15.6" a good one is the 15.6" version of the laptop you purchased lol - this one. Similar specs except for the larger screen and a 6 core 12 thread processor, and weighs 1.66kg.
Another good option is this Acer with the same specs. Now out of the Acer and the Lenovo, I'd pick the Lenovo purely because it's lighter by 100g, but really both should be fine. Pick whichever one you like lol

Also if all you care about is weight, then the LG Gram is also a great option, being 500-600g lighter than the above 2 options, although that lightness comes at the cost of specs (4 core 8 thread Intel processor and only 256GB storage, compare to 6c12t ryzen and 512GB storage in Acer and Lenovo). But the battery life will be much better compared to the previous 2 options since it has a 80Wh battery, compared to less than 60Wh for the Acer and Lenovo. You also get Thunderbolt, although I doubt that's of much relevance here.

Overall, if you don't necessarily need 512GB storage and can make do with 256GB, and you value portability and battery life above all else, I would pick the LG Gram. Otherwise the Lenovo is much more value in terms of specs but is heavier and will have somewhat worse battery life. Pick your poison

Oh... Yes you have Ryzen 7 link... This one is available for me also... I will buy it soon... Umm... Just a small question... Is Ryzen 5 5500u with integrated better than i5 11th gen with iris xe?


Also what if I stretch my budget to ₹75000 cauz my parents are also contributing.... Are there any better options?

Technically the Iris Xe graphics are more powerful, but there are way more driver issues (especially for gaming, but also some professional software) in Intel than Radeon for now. The situation may improve later, but there is no guarantee since from next generation, Intel will start using DG1 graphics in their chips instead of Iris Xe, so not sure how well it would be supported in the future. Moreover, Intel 11th gen low power CPUs are limited to 4 core 8 threads (even in top i7) which get blown out of the water by AMD's 6 core 12 thread Ryzen 5 and 8 core 16 thread Ryzen 7 offerings in CPU department, plus Ryzen CPUs also have lower power draw, leading to longer battery life and better thermals. So yes, I would say not only integrated graphics but even overall the 5500U is a much better buy all-around compared to Intel 11th Gen.

In 75k, I would say this is the best thin and light model. Although it is a 4000 series Ryzen, the 4800U has 8 cores and 16 threads, compared to 6 cores and 12 threads of the 5500U, plus it has a brighter and better display. It also has better graphics since it has 8 Vega cores, while 5500U has only 7. Slim 7, being the top end in Slim series, has full metallic body unlike Slim 5, and it is also lighter by about 300g compared to Slim 5, plus has a slightly bigger battery as well. Also has IR camera and Dolby audio. Best part is that it comes with 3 years warranty and 1 year adp by default, no need to purchase extended warranty (check last pic in amazon page). Very good for peace of mind imo.

This was going good for their need... So to experience it once we went to the Lenovo exclusive store and the person there first said the price (of the laptop with 3yrs warranty and adp) to be 65000 but I told him about Amazon price... So he said he will decrease the price to 63k.. but I still was not satisfied so he said he will give me a backpack and a wireless mouse.... But still I was not satisfied because my old laptop value was also going for a good price on Amazon... So he said he will also give a 32gb pen drive with a headphone(worth 3000) and gave more 500 off....

Now the total was 62500 for the laptop with 3yrs extra warranty and adp with complimentary backpack, wireless mouse, headphone, 32gb pendrive.....

I thought this deal was good and I bought it immediately....

Do you think this was worth? I think it was but I want to know the opinion of a specialist...

Seems like a good deal mate, since the laptop on amazon with additional 2 yrs warranty and 1 yr adp would have cost 62k (before card discounts that is), and considering you got backpack, mouse, headphone and a flash drive as well in the same price, it's a pretty good deal! Enjoy the laptop!

Yup it seems good... even the performance is decent... but I thought to buy lenovo ideapad slim 5 with i5 11th gen 16gb ram and mx450..... I thought these specs were best in the price.... But they didnt have that piece... So I had to buy the other one..... I think mx450 one would have been way better choice.. right?

Though I am still kind of fully satisfied with what I have bought.... I just had a small thought that I might have gone towards the laptop with higher specs.... Just a thought... Otherwise I am satisfied...
