Based on recent rant in office thread, it struck me to start a thread with organizations where TEians work....

Work Experience - 3 Years

Designation - Senior Engineer, R&D

Brief Description - Responsible for Design/Development/Enhancement of various features in Quark's flagship product QuarkXPress. Current work platforms include VS 2005 on Windows and XCODE on Mac (Both in C/C++) and also a bit of shell and Perl scripting in my case.

I was one among the 5 ~ 10 guys in my batch of 200 who could actually code well and understand what i was doing , and they put me in testing :|

Thoughts: I never thought even in my wildest dream that i would get into Data Warehousing , but time was running out and i was getting reckless by the day. so took up this assignment (which shall last for around 6 months) just to get in IT. My primary area of interest was in microprocessors, digital ckts , DIP. Infact also did my project on VOIP, developed services using SIP, but my profile didnt match with the companies working in the above areas, since they are in minority.

So took this up for a start. Hope this would be the right decision for me :)

Why not add a salary field too :P ?

@greenhorn - its a conspiracy dude. they dont want ppl to code well here. believe me, i've seen it all.....

Dude !!! Dont worry.

I am in 6th sem and first round of placements are over and I am without a job.

I will never get a job anyway. My marks are pthetic.

You'll get a job man.... just hold on !!
