I still can't believe how brilliantly Hamilton raced while all the experienced drivers were fumbling around. It was still one of the most eventful races I've ever watched.

Alonso raced like an irresponsible idiot in the Canadian GP. I can somewhat understand his sentiments since he probably felt cheated when Hamilton was called to the pits first leaving Alonso to come in only when the Safety car was out. Not that it is was team's fault or anything.

That was due to the fuel strategies decided during the last session of qualifying DUH !! Each one had planned their strategies.

And did Hamilton make any statement in the media abt McLaren giving importance to Alonsoi during the Monaco GP where he was told not to try to overtake Alonso ??

Here when the tables are turned, Alonso sees red.
Oh, also Schumi sucked and he was making the sport suck too by being a part of it.

hahahaa.... the funniest comment I have read in a looooong while.

On what basis do you say that ??

Because he was successful and the sport was boring because no one could match up to him ??

And Senna was GOD !! The best driver in F1 (alongwith Schumi).

Why people tend to rate Senna higher was because he had more rivalries (famously with Prost). Schumi came in at time when Senna had already won 3 WCs and died soon.

He never had such intense rivalries like Senna. It was a bit of bad timing I guess....

I am aware of that. I'm just saying that it's mostly a rant and not to be taken seriously.

Because he was successful and the sport was boring because no one could match up to him ??

Ah, that's why he won the last two seasons, right?

happens all the time .. last time it was senna = f1 and next generation had shoomy
Very well said.

I don't know but I have this uncanny feeling Hamilton is gonna be next.

Of course its still too early to even think about comparing, but I'm a die-hard ferrari fan and I'm admitting that he's BRILLIANT !

but its really boring this year sans MSC..!!
yeah the races have been boring this year but thats largely due to stupid rule changes and has got nothing to do with schumi's absence.

from whatever i've seen so far, he looks up there and he has been extremely lucky..but then, sometimes u make ur own luck! so, i'll wait for this entire season to finish before passing any verdict.

2005 - Shitty tyre rules which left Bridgestone behind on the development front ;). I agree Ferrari and Bridgeston werent good that year, but you cant say that about Schumi. Just look at how much ahead he was ahead of his team mate.

2006 - Alonso grabbed the intiative, and I guess he deserved to win in the end. Nobody can do much about an engine blow up, its part of the sport. But then, the season was one of the best in recent times cuz there was competition, thanks to Schumi's late charge :ohyeah:

You may not like him, I totally respect that, but you neednt post stuff like he sucks.

Back to the topic, I must say, Hamilton so far has been the right man in the right place at the right time :D. The timing of his pit stops in the Canadian GP says it all. I guess anyone in Alonso's position will feel the same , this guy just lets it out :P

Nah alonso always whines when things dont work out for him.

He went cry baby at his Renault team last year also when Schumi started that late charge.

He went cry baby during 2005 season as well if you remember during Canadian - USGP races.

As far as schumacher goes. He was the best driver in the F1. Like it or not. If some guy achieves that kind of domination this season or coming season, there will be people who will again say F1 is boring.

Its always a group of people who support someone else who say those things ;)

I enjoyed every single season schumi was part of F1. I was actually feeling bored this season. But the clinical driving by Hamilton has sparked some interest. Reminds me of clinical almost error free laps after laps that schumi used to drive. But if he continues to drive like he is and keep winning i am sure Ferrari and Kimi fans will think this season is boring ;)

But ya, he wins or looses, I hate that whiny Alonso.

^^ Schumi was boring, nowhere as explosive as Senna...
Hopefully F1 is better without Schumi, will give a match a watch one of these days...

hehe wasnt comparing.. just pointing out that each generation will have someone to identify the sport with and lose interest once they retire (probably)

I guess its too soon to compare Hamilton with anyone ..be it Senna,Schumacher or anyone of that cailber..!!

He has just driven 6 races and got all podiums and a win...Ok his driving is amazing...he doesnt makes mistakes under pressure...Has no arrogance or attitude..

But cmon comparison of the guy who has 6 podiums with guys who have 154 and 80 podium respectively..is too unfair..!!

Let him get couple of WDCs... Right now he is in the best car...so even thats at his advantage..!!

Best driver isnt the person who drives from pole to win in best car... Its the one who drives from back to first even in Average car getting the 100 percent out of the car...

I am not saying hamilton is not good...but he is just good..not phenomenal ;)

We are all emulating British Media here....they didnt have any good Brit Racer clinchin podiums since long..so now they are goin ga ga ga over hamilton...

Actually IMO fairest comparison would be Hamilton and Kubica (Dont underestimate Kubica, just as he doesnt have the best car and also he is still adjusting, his skills are good)

Anyways....regarding this season...it certainly seems downfall for Ferrari... Massa's having string of badlucks and Kimi is just plainly not commited..!! Cmon he was good in 2005...

Also apart from Car trouble ...his driving was not at par..even at Montreal..!!

One rivalry which will be fun to watch will be of Alonso and Hamilton :p Its all spiced up at Mclaren... Brit Media criticised Mclaren due to Monaco incident so Mclaren must be slight in favor of Hamilton here...and no Spanish Media goin beserk :P

what makes u think that Kimi isn't committed?? did u watch the qualifying session last weekend and how he overtook hamilton just out of the pitlane and then again during the race, he was all ready to repeat that over alonso. if thats not commitment, what is? its simply a case of him still being uncomfortable inside his new car, new team and new environment. :)

as for massa, ignoring the red light sure is bad luck.

No i missed the Qualifying.. but still there was this agression in his driving..he use to be the driver gaining most places during start...!! now hes loosing it.!!

well 6 races are over..how much longer does he need ..;) Plus its not like hes getting podiums either.... lets hope a better ferrari result this weekend...its might boost his confidence..!!

It is not commitment !! I agree with Quickfire on this !!

It is just a run of bad luck.

Trust me, Kimi will be back to the top of the grid soon and that is where he belongs.

You may not like him, I totally respect that, but you neednt post stuff like he sucks

And people need not bring him into every F1 thread like he matters anymore when he clearly doesn't.

Well he does and will for some time to come. Schumacher is a benchmark for anyone and everyone to try and match. Comparison is inevitable. His name will pop in 90% of F1 threads.

Very true Funky. The stats always says the right thing. Few ppl always find peace in stating derogatory statements when they dont like him ;) Back to Present world, Massa was plain idiot who could not even see the red light and Kimi, i think is still very vry uncomfortable with Ferrari. Both of them and th car itself will certainly be the downfall of Ferrari this season. Hamilton's reliabilty is his greatest weapon

The entire season has been great so far and is doing very well even without him. So, I can't tolerate people coming in and ruining every post match discussion with their nostalgic nonsense which only serves to sidetrack from the present scenario and depreciate the sport in it's current form.

Comparison is inevitable. His name will pop in 90% of F1 threads.

Then make a separate thread where all you Schumi fans can fantasize about him all you want. There's no need to derail a thread that isn't even about him.
