my ISP is ALLIANCE :D KOLKATA ... am on DNS 10.10.0.1 ..so guys who can ping 10.10.58.1 gateway might contact me so that we can share over LAN :D ... BTW I download BRips for myself if i like the movie hell lot else on my 1024x1280 resolution I dont really enjoy the HD :( .

Alliance???????? :O

How come Alliance giving such great speeds. Earlier when I was Alliance customer I used to get hardly 10kbps in my 256kbps connection, and it used to be down most of the times.

Infact max. people from Kolkata has bad experience from Alliance.

Well, after hearing you looks like need to give it a try.

BTW can you please clarify some things??

1. The plan you are using, actually states the original speed that you are getting?? Or is it just a Miracle??

2. If not, then is it for that particular DNS only or the speed is same for other DNS too??(If you tried changing your DNS or some of your friends on other DNS, other members from TE can also try and confirm this)

I guess it's just a miracle for you rather than any particular plan. Just checked out Alliance Broadband service rates
 
I use executive pack which comes for 770 buck... miracles do happen in alliance i got 22MBPS highest once but that didnt last more than a day or so .... and upload too i got max of 11MBPS ... but this time this has lasted more than 2 days now :) so my guess that they are giving such speeds on this half of the server :) .anyway if your on the same DNS i wud be more than happy to share the stuffs and download the movies for you if its available at this speeds.

Ahh...got that....then you are one of the lucky person...!! :)

Just saw the reviews, sorry to say, nothing changed in these 3years, Alliance is still the same. At least reviews says that. As I personally had bad experience 3 years ago.

BTW Congrats..!! Enjoy your speeds..!! :D

And ya...ask mods to move this to Show Off Section :P
 
I think his speed are not true.
It is a case of caching where user from the same connection is downloading the same file so then becomes the nearest peer and serves data to op.
In those similar cases then i got max speed on my college lan on utorrent where speed was 25.1MB/sec.
Speedtest needed to verify your plan.
