PC Peripherals why do u love MX5021??

Im currently in the market to buy speakers for my PC.... I listen mostly to music... soft ghazals, instrumental and classical (hindi/english)... I play games on my headphone... I've a budget of 3k-3.5k... I tried the MX5021, but it had a little more bass than my liking and couldn't hear it for a long time!!!

I was thinking of 5.1 or 4.1 surround...something from creative that fits my budget and has surround sound... Please recommend good speakers and tell me how does MX5021 sound good!! Any settings ??

Unfortunately, even if you do care about 5.1, still mx5021 is the best :p sigh....... If only they'd launched hmx7051 :(

man i jus bought the mx5021 n they r rocking man..

specialyl when u watch dvd quality movies...

the bed on which i sit while watchin the movie shakes when i watch it hehe
 
if u want something in 5.1 in that budget maybe creative inspire 5.1 or else logitech x530 but im not sure which one is teh better off the two

Chaos wasn't there a plan @ altec for a high end 5.1? is this the model? Have plans to launch it been scrapped?

^^^MX 5021 rules all sub 12K 2.1's man...:)

Also it wasnt ATP3... Every1 knows the sleek looking thin ATP3!!

I didnt tell anywhere that MX5021 was for 3-3.5k .. I just said that, I heard the MX5021 at a store and it had bass lowered and still it felt too much at that level. After 10min of hearing I was feeling like my head was hit by a slegehammer (mayb I'll do an CT scan to check my brain as well)...

Aftering hearing the price for MX5021 I thought it was waste spending so much and mayb 5.1 or 4.1 for 3.5k would b a better option... I think most ppl praise the MX5021 only for it volume, not for its sound reproduction... For my damaged ears it didnt sound perfect sound reproduction... I think if u hear to symphonies u'll realize what I mean!!
 
Take a CD of ur favourite music ... and ask the Demo Guy to let u operate the speakers.. i.e take the control pod in ur hands and set it according to ur preference..

U ll Get ur Answer ..

p.s : Make a note of the deviation in ur opinion afterwards.. ;)
 
All depends on the source that is feeding the speakers and what settings are in the control pod. If you feed 128kbps mp3, its garbage in garbage out.

I swear you're the first person who has said that! Sunbiz, what you say is true for most other PC speakers (like logitech 5300 and 5500 :p), but not the mx5021. :D

Edit: If you're used to live sessions of ghazals and classical, then I'm afraid 3.5K just won't cut it :no:
