WiFi Router or WiFi extenders

Hi, i live in society duplex flat. Have 20 Mbps fibet connection and have taken TP link double antenna router.

My problem is that router is placed in lower floor and i am getting the speed of less than 1 Mbps on upper floor room.

Need advise if i should take seperate router or take the WiFi extender to have the max speed on first floor as well..

Get Mi router 3 for 2k from GearBest and connect it with a LAN cable

Are WiFi extenders not good enough? Is there any speed loss if we use them?

Hi,

You can have only one router, but multiple access points (APs) or repeaters. APs would need to be connected via wire from main router LAN to APs - CAT5/6

Multiple antennas are no guarantee of better speed.

With repeaters, basically, the time for sending and receiving from the main router is shared, hence the bandwidth/speed will decrease by 50 of the max practical/theoretical speed.
