Hi friends,

I own a desktop with MSI H110M Pro-VH Plus motherboard, bought about 5 years ago.

I want to install a 1tb Western Digital Blue SN580 PCIe Gen 4 NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (WDS100T3B0E) in it. Here's the Amazon link:
https://amzn.in/d/5jXxLLh

My question is, will my my motherboard support the above SSD?

Motherboard manual: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H110M-PRO-VH-PLUS/support#manual

Thanks a lot!

No, you cannot install any M.2 SSD since there is no Slot for it.

Your board does not have a dedicated M.2 Slot for the SSD.

But with an Adapter, Yes you can use an M.2 SSD.
If you're not using a dGPU, you can install the adapter card in the x16 slot.

Or...in PCIe 2.0 x1 slot if using a GPU in the x16 slot.
But severly bottlenecking the drives bandwidth.

Possibility of the board being able to boot off the drive is another question.

Thanks Bssunilreddy.& obikage for your excellent replies. Since my computing needs are simple and I do not want to spend too much, I think I will just buy a 1tb Sata ssd.
