Windows 7 on AMD Phenom x4 Quad core 9850

I try to install w7. after running the setup, and format the HD which previously using vista, it gives me error going to the dos blue screen stating a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your pc. then some more msg.

did you format the hdd completely or tried to upgrade. If you tried to upgrade that can be a cause of the problem. Do a clean format and install. after that if it Bsod's than we need the proper error to identify the cause. I hope your pc was running stable or there is no unstable overclocking...
