First, congratulations on your new home,
@KAKAN
I get why you’re leaning toward wired—reliability is king, right? But I’d gently nudge you to double-check the idea that wired home automation comes at a minimal cost. Those two don’t exactly walk together. Maybe take a closer look at numbers.
Also, wireless tech has leaped forward since the days you might be thinking of—it’s a different beast now. I won’t preach about it here (happy to spin off a new thread or jump into one of the million others, haha), but it’s worth noting.
Your point about “even if you drill and cut the wire, it’ll just fall back to manual control” applies to wireless too, so it doesn't stand enough grounds.
I’m just here to shed light for the forum folks—tech knowledge seems a bit fuzzy for some, and I’d love to clear the haze.
On the pros and cons, it depends on which type of wireless tech you are using. There are 3–4 types of technology. If you can let me know, I'll be happy to give you the pros and cons. Else AI and Google are always there.
Cheers !!
