4 days 12 hours is really useful when u r WFH anyways u r gonna work for 12 hours so rest 3 days enjoy......but going to office and working for 12hrs will be hetic

There's also another side. Due to how PF is calculated in new policy, the PF contribution may increase in some cases which will reduce inhand salary.

I additionally do VPF contribution as well but with this new labor code, I guess I will stop my VPF as the PF will automatically increase.

This code isn't really implemented yet right?

12hr work /day is not going to work, specially if the jobs requires people apply their brain, and NOT doing any repetitive no-brainer job like, call-center executives harassing common citizens/bidi factory worker, etc.

yet another master-stonk policy by greatest leader of the world.

The way Indian HR chor system operates no wonder in our CTC even the portion of PF to be borne by employer is also included which is ridiculous. It should be above our ctc and not a part of it.
SO if someone is contributing 2k from his monthly ctc even the other 2k also gets deducted from our own ctc stating employer contribution...daylight robbery.
Benefit only passes to the employer as they get tax benefit as if they are paying it from their own pockets. RIDICULOUS!

12hr thing isn't applicable for mill workers etc. as they all might soon fall sick and even die sooner than expected.
Call center is nothing but welcoming bunch of array of medical issues too. early to die too late so soon young gen will be facing migraines, irregular heartbeats, insomnia and many more if they work 12hrs in a cc..
Either change job or change bodies is all I can say...

As for wfh..yes to be online is the prime thing but again you are always on the radar to be pinged and expected to reply asap else you are not too far from a phone call and an official email to come down to the office..
So its not easy to wfh too..

With pathetic transport system in our country, 8-9 hours is akin to burnout as you could easily add up to 12 h/day. Now if they want you to stay for 12h, it would mean 15h/day easily. That would only give you 9h for sleep and recreation.
Pretty sure our armchair lawmakers are ignorant of the facts in IT or any other sector. I recall starting my day at 6am and arriving at 9pm when I was at my first job in Mumbai.
