Hi guys, I am looking to buy a walkie talkie set with atleast 8 km range.... new or old both will do...

Looking for Something like Motorola FVR 200,T5720 or FV500R

Please put up your offer guys...

And can someone please inform me about the actual range of these walkie talkies under general city conditions ???? I hope they work for atleast half of the max distance labelled. And whats the sound quality like ??? Is it acceptable phone quality or messed up????

LOL, the so called 8 km range amateur sets are essentially toys....though they do come in handy dureing trekking trips....

Depending on where you live, you'll get anywhere between 0.5-1.5 kms under regular conditions..

The sound quality is fairly acceptable though....
