CPU/Mobo X2 7750 can be unlocked into a quad core

^^So its floating inside the cabinate :P Its there and the matter of fact that Kuma , Toliman and II X3 are all quad cores with few cores disabled so it isn't a magic or something that it cannot be done..

All you need a compatible batch and lucky Mobo :P
 
i dont think so the 4 th core is real.

may be its some thing like intel HT

any one here who successfully did it? plz post a benchmark of X3 and X4

Also they were saying that thats why the processor runs as hot as quad amd's.
 
As far as i remember, the unlocks on the 4th core on 720BE were not stable in all cases...Ain't it? Read that article in Anandtech.com...

So, i doubt what's the case with this one! The unlocks are possible with only a very few select batches or with all! And even if it is for all, is it the other two are healthy cores disabled or bad cores disabled for good by AMD!!! :huh:
 
^ true, but enabling 4 core on X3 720 does improve the benches. So, we can expect performance jump with 2 more cores on 7750 whether stable or not. :)
