My faithful Xbox 360 Console RROD'd on me last month after more than 1 year of good service. After a service call was logged, I was assured of a replacement in 5 working days. It took 10 days to get it replaced as the stocks were not available.
Now here comes the funny part. The guy who came to replace the console had 6 other boxes with him. I asked him on how many consoles he replaces every day. The number is an astounding average of 12 consoles per day on all 5 working days in Bangalore alone!!!
Talk about 33% failure rate. I think it is much more than that. My confidence in the console is slowly going down.
A question to TE members. Can you get the console replaced a 2nd time within the 3 year warranty period if it RRODs again?
