Xbox 360 countdown: Consolidated thread for news, reviews, info.

I think it's already well known that the first batch of all consoles are bound to have problems. But I seriously think people(read as "MS haters") blew the whole thing out of proportion.

EDIT: You people should really try and catch the latest episode of gamer TV on ten sports. Good footage and review of Full Auto on the 360.

Didn't feel like making a new thread for this so bumbed this old one up....

Microsoft launches Xbox 360 In India
Posted on Monday, September 25th, 2006

Microsoft has launched its much awaited gaming console Xbox 360 in India, priced Rs 19,990 to Rs 23,990.

The console will be endorsed by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and cricketer Yuvraj Singh.

It will be available across Microsoft’s retail network across the country, which includes Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune, Microsoft Country Manager Mohit Anand said here on Saturday evening.

The Xbox system has 25 titles and seven to 10 titles will be added every month, he said.

"The gaming community in the Indian market is expected to grow rapidly in the coming few years. Xbox will definitely act as a catalyst to fuel this growth and expose Indian gamers to next generation gaming experiences," he said.

Microsoft has sold about five million units of Xbox 360 till June, 2006, and is expecting to sell about 10 million units worldwide by the year-end, Anand said.

The worldwide Xbox 360 launch has met with great success and fanfare, grossing more than the Harry Potter books or Lord of the Rings movies, the company said.

Micosoft announced a cricket-focused game, Yuvraj Singh International Cricket 2007, which will be launched early next year.
That's gonna be big! A cricket game now named after an Indian cricketer.

There's very strong rumours floating around...

Microsoft will soon be releasing games only available on HD-DVD. A $200 add on will be forced onto customers for them to be able to play games. Now native 1080p games will be possible.
