One of my friend's want me to get this update done on his banned console.. Iam a bit afraid of bricking it if anything goes wrong.. Any suggestions of how to do the update safely??
Well i think you should be good to go, don't download the 7mb update, go for the full 81mb update pack which is available in bitgamer, i am leaving a readme of that update:-
The new features are:
- New features for avatars.
- New option that enables support for external hard drives, pen drives and other storage devices with USB connection to save complete games (only installed from the dvd, not to be confused and mistakenly think that it can load isos), demos , saves, profiles, dlc (only downloaded directly from xbl, so do not get your hopes up that may install dlc downloaded from other sites, unless the data come in the dvd to install), etc ...
- The maximum size will be detected by the 16Gb device (regardless if the device has a much larger size also became apparent only 16Gb) per port (only the 2 front), a total of 32 GB would be available.
- Restores the option to save games on the hard disk that was lost because of the ban earlier (this can now be reinstalled games on the hard drive in consoles banned, do not fix corrupt profiles, this should be done by other media)
