The disc condition isn't a major concern, unless it's badly scratched and renders it unplayable. If it's enough to complete the game, then I have no problems. Too bad it's only for Delhi.

3k as a deposit fee is way too much. Compared to the above service, I think it's more VFM compared to Moviemart. Let's say I complete 4 games in a month, that easily covers up more than 1k worth of game purchases.

Nope.... Disk conditions are great. And these guys get all the latest games , they are basically retailers who have started this service as well.

^^ Agree... as long as you can play the game , what difference does it make.
 
Do they order games on demand? I mean a few games like Resistance 2, Ratchet and Clank: Future Tools of Destruction & Heavenly Sword are not listed in their catalogue. So if we need these games, will they be able to procure it?
 
Thats the big problem which i haven't faced in moviemart they don't give reasons they give resolutions.And they usually get games even before others i remember Heavy Rain was delivered to me even when prashant could not get it,

Its a matter of personal opinion i guess...

I am willing to wait if the game is not currently available.

uncharted is a solid game

shows exactly what PS3 was built for

but you should play it on a bigger screen,it is where it belongs as it shows the cinematic experience on its true bigger scale

where are you in mumbai?
 
Guys, I want to buy PS3 too. But I have some queries :

1>I am considering buying PS2 for playing following games : Killzone, ICO, Okami, Shadow of Colossus, MGS Series. Will these titles be available for PS3 anytime soon like God of War1,2?

2>Should I buy a PS2 to play PS2 classics and wait till PS3 price drop occurs? Is there going to be any price drop in PS3 till diwali or end of this year?
 
AFAIK there are no slated price cuts for the PS3 anytime soon. :)

I am not sure if the older titles are available in the PSN for download. I think you should pick up the PS2 first, be done with all those titles and sell it and get a PS3.

1.) Metal Gear Solid is available on PSN. The rest, as of now, aren't. ICO and Shadow of Colossus may have a possibility of being remade on PS3, but no specific details are given. Ubisoft has announced they would be remaking Splinter Cell and POP trilogy for the PS3. So if this trend picks up, you can except some of the other popular titles to be remade as well.

2.) There is currently no new SKU's being announced. So chance of a price cut in highly unlikely, at least not any time soon. I got the PS2 for playing God of War 1 & 2, sold it after a year of completing most of the exclusives on it.

What sort of price would be feasible for you to pick up the PS3?
 
Why don u try looking for the fat ps3 ?? it is backward compatible .... and no other difference between the fat and slim [ hdd size varies ] ..... but then getting a slim ps3 + a ps2 is better than getting a fat one + increasing its h.d.d ... will cost less afaik ... if u could get your hands on a fat ps3 80gb ... do so ....

n btw the first level of gow3 is simply jaw dropping :P a must play game ... if u get a ps3 don forget to buy the gow collection + gow3

The only problem with getting the backward compatible PS3's is that they aren't available in the market any more. Most of the top showrooms either have the slim PS3's or the 80GB fat ones, which aren't backward compatible. Even if he finds a 60GB or 40GB model with backward compatibility, it would have strong chances of failure somewhere down the line.
 
PS3 for people with Big pockets to buy and play the games.
XBOX 360 for People with BIG as well as Small Pockets.

So looking at the large spectrum of choice, XBOX 360 does a pretty good trick. Exclusivity is called Monopoly.
