As a fairly enthusiastic PC gamer who plays a lot on the PC what should I go for in the sense that which console has more games exclusively for itself that isn't available on the PC or pretty much guaranteed to be not available over the course of another year or so.
I know the 360 has the Halo series which although exclusive,I'm not really interested in.The PS3 has MGS4 which I really want to get my hands on but in terms of number of good games, which should I go for?

PS3 coz it has Uncharted Series , God of War Series , MGS , it is getting the remastered Ico and Shadow of Collosus << can't wait ! >> and many many more awesome games.

Also coz you get an awesome Blu-ray player for free :P

@Arun1....PS3 coz of all the above points you mentioned yourself :P

PS3 has got exclusives which will never come on PC / 360.

You will get wide array of games in all Genres.

PS2 classics remastered and not only Up scaled.

Free Online, If you like to play multiplayer.

I'd also suggest the PS3.. Quality exclusives like GOW3, MGS4, UC2, KZ2 & a lot more , plus these would never make it to the PC/X360.. Multiplayer is free.. Also the PS3 is an overall better console than the XBOX 360..

From a PC gamer prospective, I would go with PS3. Barring the shitty DS3 controller, I think it's way ahead of 360 on most counts, with exclusive titles being a major aspect. But with 360's price slowly dropping, it's becoming way more affordable than the PS3. If budget is not an issue, then PS3 is certainly worth the money.

I have owned all 3 and believe me the exclusives that we have on the PS3 are a hell lot better than that on the 360.
A few days back ppl were shouting bout Alen Wake but personally i would prefer UC2,KZ2 anyday before Alen Wake.
If its a console that u want get a PS3 with ur eyes closed. You will not regret it.

Thanks for the replies guys.I'm guessing the ps3 is the way to go mainly because of all the exclusive titles it has.Apart from that I totally forgot about the blu ray playback thing.I'll be on the look out for the next price drop :-D

It's my opinion. I have used the Playstation controller since I had my PSone. I used to find it really good initially and used to swear by it. But then came along the 360 controller and things changed. FPS and TPS gaming became that much more easier on the 360 controller. The analog placement, the concave design on the thumb sticks, the pressure sensitive triggers turned out to be way better than the DS3 controller. Sony never used pressure sensitive triggers, but they modified their L2 and R2 buttons for the PS3, which are slippery. So I have used the Plastation controller throughout it's life cycle, but the DS3 controller just doesn't cut it.

Damn, its amazing to see how people have started to love the PS3. Heck, i would get one myself if it wasn't for my Nazi brother who cant live without a 360.

I have owned all 3 for me pc all the time

ps3 is good for because of GOW3, MGS4, UC2 but for me the only problem with ps3 is the controller

xbox 360 controller 100 times better for me

i u have to buy only one of thouse two

1 . the type of the games u like to play (here i will got for ps3)

2. controller ur comfortible with (here xbox )

Hey guys there's a pretty decent offer for ps3 slim for ~14k but he's from gurgaon and I'm pondering over whether to get something like a ps3 shipped or not!

What are the chances for a price cut any time soon given the 360 slim is coming up.

I really dont get the issues that people have with the controller. Having used the 360 , i find the DS3 much more comfortable. I thought that the 360 controller was a bit too big :/

I have the 360 controller for my PC and its good but its not really something very remarkable so to speak.I've had the ps one before, how different is the ds3 controller from the ps one controller?

i don't think the controller alone is one good reason to choose the 360 over the PS3..

Who said it was? I was merely listing a personal preference and recommended a PS3.

The slim that you're referring to, is that used? If yes, then check the condition, period of usage, remaining warranty etc and then decide if it's worth buying or not.

With regards to the newer Slim model of 360, it hasn't even launched in India, leave alone a price being applied to it. Check the launch price and then decide accordingly. What's your budget for the console?

Physically, the design is the same. It will be black in colour and lighter in weight. The L2 and R2 buttons, like I said earlier, have changed to a pressure sensitive spring movement. So you can gradually press them to perform a desired action. Motion sensing is present, so that's a one up for it. It has a Lithium-Ion built in battery, so you can charge it directly via the USB port.
