Xiaomi Mi3 launched - Stunning 14k price

It does appear from most people that the camera is average.
I think those wanting a better camera phone will be served better by grand 2 or lumia 920 at this price range...

Anyways give me one decent "neutral " ROM something AOSP , and I will take it in a heartbeat...
 
Honestly I won't buy this phone based on specs alone. Learned enough lessons to not just go crazy on the specs number games alone. and this thing costs only 15k which makes me even more skeptical. anyway I played with Moto G last night (my bro's, never knew that we had a G in the family) and fell in love with it. the dual sim is also impt for me, i need it. The touch is so much better than my P11. x_x
I will buy either the E or G in the coming "months". :p

MiUi has its share of bugs and problems, though many people claim its smooth sailing, it aint that smooth;

Well it goes to see a year later even after releasing this phone in China, nothing has really changed! The overall experience is just okay, nothing that one can talk about. Dunno what V5 MiUi would have to offer! Only factor of tempting is the price point at which it lands here!
If your not happy with it , there is always LG G2 you can get, but then you have to import one from the US, preferably a bad ESN one for about 16K-20K!
 
I guess mi3 price is low just because mi4 is coming and they want to dump the rest of their stock here. And with this pricing, they probably be able to achieve that.

The ROM is more of a mess than the phone. The Chinese version doesn't have as many issues as the WCDMA version. Read bits of the link I shared. Some of those bugs are deal-breakers even in sub 10k phones.

And what if they launch the Mi4/Mi3s a few months after the Chinese launch?
 
ROM is fine... Haven't noticed any bugs in a week.. Build is really great don't understand the whining though... Have the g2 and mi3 .. Seriously mi3 looks perfect and really smooth.. Camera is also top notch because of the Sony sensor ya the low light imaging is not so good but on a normal day the photo quality is really better than the ultra pixels for sure..

If you have the time, could you go through a few of the posts in this thread. http://en.miui.com/thread-26722-1-1.html What are your views on it. Do any of these affect you?

What version of the Mi3 do you have?

I have the WCDMA version, also went thru the links what you mentioned and noted many of those I haven't faced, except the MMS (as I don't use so cant conclude).
Bugs.. well haven't had a FC till now and Call quality is really good, I have nearly 75-80 apps installed. All of them works perfect and there is always option to upgrade (to either Dev/Stable) as Dev. Version has lotta bugs but Stable is real good. am on 4.4.2 and need to update as there is a release for 4.4.3(Stable) . Well I like the MIUI its real good , agree on THEMES as its in Chinese but there is a work around for it in XDA. So that's not a deal Breaker for me.
TBH am really happy with the purchase as it was a impulse buy but I really liked it.

Care to do a mini review so a prospective buyer could be aware what is coming up on offer! even some outdoor as well as low light pictures!

am not good in terms of review though, but will try if I can possibly make some time for it though. yea could do a photo shoot surely on a weekend to show the Camera quality at least.

If you don't mind me asking, which city are you in and what network do you use? Do you use 3g? Out of all the problems the switching from 3g to 2g and never coming back is going to irritate me the most.
