Yes this is Mi Band compatible. And I believe Karan Bajaj is/was a member here @TE by the handle Ragain_Ice I guess and IIRC he is tech reporter somewhere.

About time, Only thing is locked kernel sources else it can beat 1+ hoping that this time they'll also release 64GB version unlike MI3

I nought the Mi Band of eBay. Works well with the Mi3 though the last update doesn't unlock the phone very efficiently. I hope they sell the 64gb Mi4, though sadly I doubt they will.

Great phone. Considering that it is almost the same size as an iphone 6 (well almost), good design from xiaomi.

I just wish they launch the 64Gb version in India. 16Gb is just not enough for me. That was the primary reason I stayed away from Mi3. :(

So what are the known issues on the phone, if any? Anything that'll raise a red flag? Yellow tint, heating, call quality/reception/volume etc. ...

Also, generally speaking, how smooth is the usb otg functionality (with respect to any phone)? I mean, if movie/music playback off of a pen drive is good enough to act as a substitute for microsd? Even I feel that 16gb is not good enough. So looking at possible workarounds.

Its almost unofficially confirmed that India will not receive the 4G/LTE version of the MI4 rather it will be 3G only!

The only international market is India which Mi4 will be launched there at end of this month. With its low LTE penetrationin India, Xiaomi will be selling the 3G-only model of the Mi 4. Hugo Barra also stated that Xiaomi will put full effort into bringing Mi Note to Malaysia and Singapore and other South-east Asia country.

After using the oneplus I was delighted with strides Android OEM's have made in the recent years.
Specifically I was impressed with the power sipping abilities of SD801. The amount of screen time these recent android phones give is very good.
The only sore point I have with One plus is that It is a big phone. I thought will get used to it , but the Mi4 with its 5 inches looks very manegable.
let us see If FK sells white sliver color
