mind listing the amazon quoted charges in detail?

i'm sure the dhl guys are BSing. pretty sure amazon aint gonna budge now.
 
You can get stuff via ICC's PPO service!

You have to buy it yourself at amazon and then ship it to them(first they'll set up a PPO account for you and allot a number for the package that you have to write as the shipping address)

then when it reaches them in NY thy bring it to India and charge you for international shipping(generally if the weight isnt much, the shipping might turn out cheaper!)

Yup.... the air rifles are allowed....

Provided u are a shooter registered with a Shooting Club affiliated to NRAI OR u bring them along with u in personal baggage & in either case they pass the 'Dead Wood' test.

I had planned to get it via Pyramidair but they charge exorbitantly for shipping...... :(

Guess I'll have to ask sum relative to get it in the personal baggage.

As for the knife, I'll get it via ICC Worldwide or 20North.
 
^^ As far as i remember you can get only .177 cal if it is directly shipped. If you carry it with your personal baggage then you can get either .177 cal or .22 cal.

Exactly. But even to get the .177 via courier, u need to be a shooter. So, if one is not a shooter, it is best to ask sumone to get the rifle while coming down to India.
