just wanted to create a similar thread abt cpu history

mine is a long list

Pentium III 700Mhz (Coppermine)

back in the day, motherboards didnot have onboard sound...those were the days of creative!!!
i had a soundblaster multimedia kit which consisted of a sound card, 18x cd rom, and speakers :)

Unnecessary puns aside...here's the list:

1. Pentium MMX 166Mhz
2. Celeron 433 Mhz (the one with the "full-speed" L2 cache, ah those days!)
3. Athlon Thunderbird 1.4Ghz (the last and the hottest Tbird ever, even hotter than the netburst P-IVs!)
4. Athlon XP 2400+ (2.0Ghz)
5. Pentium M 1.73Ghz (Dothan Centrino)
6. Core 2 Duo E8200 @ 3.2Ghz now. :ohyeah:

2002 AMD XP 1.6 256MB

2005 AMD A64 3000 2GB till now.

Now thinking of next upgrade. (Isn't it logical also? ;) - three year gaps) And back to Intel!
