Your Gaming Backlog/Progress Report!

Completed: Hogwarts Legacy. Sunk 63 hours into it. Finished the main story and all the mainline side relationship quests.

Such a brilliant game, especially if you're into the world and lore. It has its shortcomings, but overall, an extremely engaging RPG, and the best game in the series I've played since Chamber of Secrets in 2002.

P.S - Using Avada Kedavra against enemies is HIGHLY satisfying. The bad? You only learn it after completing the main story quests (for obvious reasons).

Started:

Cyberpunk 2077. I kept putting it off because my system at the time (RX 5700XT) would run it like complete ass.

Completed Evil West. Typical American hero saving the world (US only) ahhmm. But this game is very much underrated gem. Very fun gameplay and interesting story. Everyone must try this. I guess i will resume back Mafia Definitive edition.

Completed Alan Wake American Nightmare. Overall I liked it, not very difficult at the normal difficulty, good short game, with decent combat and story.

Will start with Mafia 1 Definitive Edition now.

BC not been able to start any new or complete any old game. Have even upgraded my system in last 1 year and just because of this now thinking of consolidating my gpu's, mobo and other hardwares. Cannot get enough time from my work.
Sometimes it's so frustrating that i feel like leave my job but then who's going to fuel me to buy these hardwares again and waste monies:grin:
But really man i will be selling some GPUs and just keep one single rig for my personal work/game if i can.

I make sure to cram in some game time every day, despite my busy schedule/job, etc. My happiest memories include gaming.

OMG same here... I absolutely must visit my mancave and shut out the world outside with video gaming. Helps me maintain my sanity... unless I'm traveling.

On a side note having loads of fun currently playing Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 because the last few games I played didn't have shooting with a weapon so picking up a rifle and unleashing a hail of bullets, mowing down enemies feels extra satisfying!

how do y'all manage time with kids and wife? all my older cousins barely have enough time to even hang out, same with my colleagues.

try using it in front of a professor lol, shit's funny, the main drawback about this game was the variety, you had the same enemies, same spell combos, same potions/gadgets/gizmos/whatever you wanna call it, and it got extremely dull after a while, its a really decent attempt at a Harry Potter game but this game could have been so much more.

I personally prefer the combat mechanics of OOTP, where you had to type in combos on the keyboard for that specific spell, made chaining spells so much more dynamic and more fun, I remember spending hours just chaining spells like crazy in it.

heh, my 3060 ti barely managed to get it running but then they had to release path tracing and I put it off again lol, surprisingly it ran decently, but then I was upscaling from 520p to 1440p, the shimmering got me but that Ray reconstruction almost transformed the game and the Path, just made it a new game already. the only issue I faced was that with Phantom Liberty, you need atleast 10gigs of VRAM to play on 1440p and ideally 12 which really gimped my GPU,

I just finished Far Cry 3.
I really enjoyed the game a lot. What an adventure!!
Although I would say it fell off a bit after Vaas.
But it ended on a good note.
I would rate it 8.5/10

I am gonna play Outer Wilds next. I was just told to jump right into the game. Because I heard the game experience is very sensitive to spoilers.

I am playing Far Cry 3 as well, and I am currently on the Knife (Buck) missions.
The game is exceptional, to say the least, and the driving feels so robust and weighted, which I really like over the general weightless feel of major video game driving mechanics.
The inventory UI is okayish, but I wish there were crafting hotkeys instead of the whole thing going into the menu.

Absolutely. The driving is feels so real.

Yeah, some of the actions in the game can become a chore. I absolutely dislike the mechanism of holding X to perform certain actions. It was very annoying.

I really want to preorder GoW Ragnarok (PC) :woot:

I may as well, since GoW games rarely go on sale, and it definitely won't go on sale right after launch.

Pulled the trigger and pre-ordered :shy:. This is the first game I've pre-ordered since Assassin's Creed III in 2012.
