I also received the mail that aramex has received my package and the package weight is 0.58kg. Sala 8$ aka 400Rs. ka extra fatka. Now I just prey that there are no surprises in customs.
@varkey speedpost is infact very good when it comes to handle foreign parcels, my personal experience.
Rules of Mumbai customs for personal imports are not very clear, at least on their website. It mentions that personal imports through courier will be charged duty as per chapter 98.4 of cutom tarrif act. At that place for all the items except few, it is flat 10%.
I also received the mail that aramex has received my package and the package weight is 0.58kg. Sala 8$ aka 400Rs. ka extra fatka. Now I just prey that there are no surprises in customs.

I haven't got any international packages through speedpost, but the ones I received through Airmail have come with the outer box slightly damaged etc. Although the item was intact.
Don't worry about customs, Aramex themselves confirmed saying the duty for phones is only 1.03%

well dell is releasing it here so why will they allow it directly for almost half the price ????
ur best bet is off ebay once its in constant supply over the retailers so that the prices stop sky-rocketing on ebay

so total loss due to cancellation
497.83 + 49.78 + 1.49 = 549.1
that is around 3.83% over the INR converted.
INR conversion rate is 71.25 which is exactly as what RBI website shows.
3.5% conversion fees as per calculations and 3.83% after considering CESS and ST.
i dont think this will be reverted back even if the payment is reversed.
more over, there maybe further Foreign Currency Conversion Fee while converting that GBP into INR.
over all loss of 600 for 2fones.
that 300 per fone...
2nd order was 216.98 so again 600 loss.
