prepay mania had listed the phone for 89GBP + 10 GBP for orange topup, after applying the gift code mentioned by @varkey, it came to 97GBP, however the current listing price would come down to 107GBP

It is and they dont have any explanation, I reached out to their customer care and this is what they say

"Thank you for contacting us. The shipment has reached Bangalore. You may receive it today itself.All packages are put through an electronic weighing scale at our end in London and then the weight is updated.Hence, we will have to go by the weight mentioned by Aramex.We take the volumetric weight or the gross weight , which ever is higher.you can also reach me on 9987529876 or e mail me your queries : anuradha.iyer@shopandship.com"

The max difference in weight was just 100 grams, it was ordered from different sellers as well. But I think for all 4 orders from Prepaymania the weight was above 0.5 ( 0.54, 0.58 etc )

Now you can get the white one for 100 GBP, with the promo code mentioned by Gaurish, although they will most likely cancel the order. :p

Ok so since there is a very good chance that pre pay mania orders will be cancelled, which is the next best bet except ebay ??

It is not surprising at all. Remember that the item is shipped in a different box with more packing material. Some will have a little more and some a little less packing material. The outer carton box will be slightly different and hense the 100gms difference.

You are getting a fantastic deal folks. Do not get into such minute details for Rs 400 odd.

custom was only 91bucks including their 50bucks..

they basically have put value of phone = 4000 in their receipt...total custom duty = 41

there were total 3 phones on that receipt so i guess two more members will get it soon :)

the only issue i have with orange rom is that they have lot of apps and services running..

total suable RAM for aps is 414MB and more that 300MB is used at idle :p

i will uninstall them and see.

the screen quality is great. im so happy that i did not buy desire or galaxy S a month ago :p

time to root !!

Ok I also received the OLED one. Cost paid by me to aramex guy is 905/-, Will adjust the shipping cost in excess duty paid and will pay only extra amount.

Thanks Varkey for letting us know about this fantastic deal :) . I was one of the lucky guys who got for 99.99+10-3 = 96.99 GBP.

Since it is my first smart phone, I'm finding it little difficult to use. For each and every thing it seems to be asking for an internet connection or google account. My age is showing it's effect I guess. Some one please write a getting started guide for this phone.

Proceeding to installation of Modaco's Paul Custom ROM (2.1 release).

All you guys who have bought this phone, aren't you worried about issues in it? How do you plan to get it fixed if it gets a problem?

I really want to get this phone. It's excellent for the price, but I'm skeptical about all this.

EDIT: Also, why is prepaymania cancelling?
