Prepaymania is not charging you any amount for cancellation, it is the bank that is charging you for Foreign exchange Conversion.
If you have Cash in Paypal then that shouldnt be an issue, if you are using CC then it depends upo how much your bank charges..roughly 5%
i have gone about this in detail a few pages ago, please read through as there are many such small things discussed in this thread about what and how others have made mistakes so far, use it as a log for your purchase safety.

What was the total amount you paid to aramex guy?
I just received a call from aramex saying the custom duty is Rs.905. I hope what he actually means is that shipping cost plus customs duty comes to Rs. 905/-.

Package finally delivered at home. Total charges 905/-.
Gave the bill of Rs.805/- as customs charges and Rs.100/- as broker fees. No separate shipping charges. :huh:
Presently in office, waiting for day to be over and check the phone. :clap:

^ Rs 805 as customs? :O How come? Mine had only Rs 82 duty and Rs 50 broker fee. They just called me 10 minutes back, will be delivered by 4 pm.
They fail to collect the shipping charge for everybody I guess, expect a call after 1-2 days.

Seems that my concerns were not uncalled for. My previous bad experiences with Aramex continues. If they call me to pay extra shipping charges, I'll blast them. Otherwise I'd let it pass.bigbyte said:

But andrew327 is from Mumbai too and even my package came via Mumbai, but only Rs 82 as duty for us both. Do call them and ask why there is such a big difference.bigbyte said:

I'm not planning to call them unless they call me asking for shipping charges. At that time I'll ask for answers. Afterall total cost of Rs.905/- is not bad after they mentioned the package weight as 0.58 kg.varkey said:

@bigbyte : In the receipt, the package which was charged Rs 805 as duty doesn't seem to be yours, it contains Chocolates and Toys. Is your shipment number ending with 0902? Then its duty is only Rs 82 as per the receipt I got.

@varkey yes boss.. you are correct. My shipment number ends with 0902 and I just called home and came to know that 805 duty receipt contains Chocolates and Toys.
What do you suggest I do now? Shall I keep quiet or call them to provide me correct duty slip.
