Barfi - 4/5

Bastid Preetam has shamelessly ripped music from Amelie. Even Cinematography is also similar. But totally whole movie is entertaining till end.

But it's Priyanka for whom you should watch. After Fashion it's her best performance.

A must watch. A winner. Do not miss it.
 
Barfi - 9.0 out 10.0
Is slow in parts but Ranbir and priyanka's performance in the movie alone make this worth the watch. I now want to visit Darjeeling where this movie has been shot. The movie teaches you be happy and find happiness in things no matter how small they are.
 
Barfi- 8/10. I watched it yday and really had a good time, loved the Charlie Chaplinesque moments. Great performances from the cast! For a change, it was nice to not see the hero mouth off lengthy dialogues. :)
 
Barfi = 9/10

Ranbir's best performance till date. Priyanka Chopra was convincing in her role as an autistic child as well. Side characters were equally good. a must watch and a movie that can be watched multiple times. Slowly but surely mainstream Indian cinema is coming of age.
 
Wonder when Guy Ritchie will make some quality movies again.
Sherlock Holmes movies are below average compared to his previous works like Snatch, Lock Stock and RocknRolla.
 
@flash23 Rock n Rolla was supposed be a trilogy as per Guy Ritchie. The script of the sequel "The Real Rock n Rolla" is ready but apparently Guy Ritchie can't find time to start production. because of big movies like Sherlock Holmes. I for one, would rather like to see the Rock n Rolla trilogy than another Sherlock Holmes film.

I never read/watch movie reviews neither do I believe in giving my reviews because movies is a very subjective topic. Each ones like dislike is different.
But today I would like to mention that Barfi! should be watched atleast once to see how brilliantly PC has acted. One of the most unglamorous roles she may have played but definitely the best performance she has given.
I was sold on Ranbir's performance in RockStar so I went to see Barfi! only for him. As expected he did not disappoint a bit.
Glad to know such "cinemas" still happen every once in a while in India. :)
 
sabby I know that. That is why I mentioned Sherlock, though not bad as the usual movies, but not good as RocknRolla.
Hope the production houses come to their senses. But, they(production houses) are doing business here and they know that a Sherlock movie WILL bring more money than RocknRolla sort of movies.

ps I think Herra pheri 2 borrowed its storyline from lock stock. Did it?

Quite literally one of the worst movies i have seen in recent times.Boris the animal?really?and even with a huge budget the animation sucked at parts,whats up with that?did Will Smith take up all the money?the humor failed to make me laugh.the movie just sucked.I will be visiting REKALL to make me forget i ever watched this piece of garbage.

I think the first sherlock holmes movie was spot on,but the second one just wasn't exciting.i just couldn't give a damn about sherlock or any paltry guy in that film.

Again great performance by RK but PC really steals the show. Illeana was equally good. Each and every character played their part very well.
