Hitman: Absolution - Discussion Thread

^^dinjo like i said in that thread it may be for you.Tastes differ till now i liked it.Yes it is a bit slow and has some issues but its not that bad.You seems to be an AC 2 fan but if you ask me i found NOTHING interesting in AC 2 except for the story and some levels.I liked revelations more and embers concluded it pretty good.

Hmm... AC2 had better story and some good levels but you didn't mention what was good in ACR it was a forced sequel with hardly any motivation almost 60% of time in ACR I kept on thinking why I'm I even playing this game the only thing which I really liked was masyaf platforming levels they beat every other platforming levels of AC series.

First mission I had a clear shot lined up. Took the shot, target was down..but cause I dint press RT gently instead went for the kill" a civilian was killed mysteriously. -1000 for me, so replayed the whole mission again.

Take it as you will. It's sacrilege to the long time 47 fans, and a fun game to the new guys. Me, am going to play it anyways.
 
Reviews are indeed mixed. Plenty of Reddit users complaining of it as jc has pointed out. Metascores avergaing 80~83.

What got me bajaaoed was the hard drive space requirement - 24 GB! Did anyone notice this before? :p

Note to self: Upgrade the SSD to a larger drive.
 
OK! Moment of trust is here. I just started the game on Purist. The Prologue mission told me that I was too good for a Tutorial and politely asked me to "F*ck off!". So there I was with my silver ballers and fiber wire. The guards patrolling seems to take ages to clear out, checkpoints are spread far apart, guards seem to be on red alert mode, no HUD, no instincts etc. WOW! Getting a no detection and no kill in this mode would be insane. I'm going to play some more to see if I can stick to this difficulty or switch to Normal or Hard. :p

Hahaha,I still have to get the game *ahem*ahem*
But i'm gonna try the purist mode, Dishonored didn't really turn out to be a stealth challenge :p
 
Prologue mission completed on Purist mode and here are my glorious stats:

If you managed to get it working properly, please start on the Purist difficulty. I'm having a blast with this game. I'm replaying the levels over and over again. I'm close to 12 hours in the game and only completed 3 levels. :p

Trust me, this mode is punishing, yet so rewarding.
 
This is too much the game is a poor port.No matter what setting it is the benchmark never moves above 22fps.Many people are facing this.Due to poor fps i didnt start the main game.I started the contracts mode and played the tutorial.The fps remains within 40s outside but when that garden area approaches (with that tennis court) where you have to kill your target it falls to as low as 16.:bomb:
 
I'm not sure what you mean by "cheat". The only problem I faced was the disguise system being borked and that is a known issue. I, for one, feel this mode is quite challenging and getting the higesht rating, alongside the challenge completions is quite amazing. You just need to be patient and observant. There are multiple paths you can take, which can either avoid confrontation or lead you into an assault. What you choose, is up to you. I played the 'Terminus Hotel' almost 10 times yesterday and I'll replay it today, as I know what route to take, going completely un-noticed. :D
