Buying from US - Best Deals - Discussion Thread

Need a small info.

What if i have a friend who can buy a mp3 player in US or AU for me and post it to my Indian address? Should i pay any custom duty for that?

Yes you will have to pay if the customs want you to. Does not matter if someone is sending you as "GIFT" or you buy from a store and get it shipped, the final word is of customs here.

Same was d case wid me.. needed a clip zip & its jst arnd 2k there. Almost half of wat it cost here. darn dis rupee depreciation:mad:. But had to order here only as none of my relativs or their frends were flying either way anytime soon:(. Could have got a pair of new iem to try wid tht extra fund:confused:

I got weeks time to ask him.
 
As of now why can't we stop buying from them(US). That will help our rupee value to rise up. It was my humble request. Atleast stop buying for 1 week. Will help our country my dear brothers. Also try to use your vehicles the least which will be a huge plus for the rupee value.
 
Come on, you have to put your great thought just when my friends is in US and I was about to ask him about buying something from there ? o_O :(:( :confused::eek::rolleyes:
 
Your is a different scenario bro. You can ask him to get what you want. Because it will not be considered as importing because there is someone bringing it for you.

Is it normal? They mailed me this quote :/ I think its too much. Last time when i ordered a 3tb HDD and shipped via PPO it cost me around 1.5k(Inc. Shipping+duties).
