~7-8Kish Reason : Its now 3 generations old.

EDIT : Only for the CPU and Mobo. I did not notice the RAM :facepalm:

Circle power supply unit (got this to power up the gfx card)

i suppose the processor and gfx card is under warranty, will have to check.

How to ascertain the extent of damage ? Should I show to local repair shop ?
Also if i assume the digitizer works, then also entire screen replacement is needed along with digitizer ?

I had similar issue with my Galaxy 3. Display was not working. I had given it for repair quotation at local service centre and Samsung official service centre, both. Reply from both was in range of 1500-1650. I had put this for sale, with mentioning the cost of repair. I could sell it off finally for 1300 on OLX. In my case Digitiser & Display were separate.

You should show it to some service centre and get approx repair cost. It will clear all doubts including if display & Digitiser both are required to be replaced or not.
