English TV series discussion

if you set apart all the violence, rape, dragons, badass fighting, midgets, whoring, assasins, slavery, magic, political intrigue, torture, wolves, knights, honor, whitewalkers, trolls, random penis chomping, imminent destruction of the world etc then all you are left with is a fairly typical saas bahu serial.

Guys give your views on "American Horror Story"

Season 1 and 2 are very good. Season 1 is my favorite. I was like on tenterhooks for almost all of the episodes. Season 2 is critically more acclaimed due to a better story maybe. However, it is not scary in traditional sense. I gave up on Season 3, the rival gang b**ch fights started to get on my nerves. Hoping better from season 4.[DOUBLEPOST=1406564972][/DOUBLEPOST]Currently watching Season 1 of Breaking Bad. Anyone else feel the whole disease induced moroseness and the ethical dilemmas are just too heavy to take in. I am subconsciously maybe praising the series as it seems too real and takes a toll on me emotionally.

^bro i am sure that you will finish all 4 seasons of breaking bad within a week i still dont know but i didnt like GOT that much i started this because i heard a lot about it.It still didnt give me feels that breaking bad does. Its all hyped imo GOT is popular only because it has nudity and kings wars and all that stuff but no good plot but with plot twists.BB is still my favourite show

So i am gonna give it a try, thanks for the info

Currently on Season 2 of Hemlock Grove. Im liking it better than the 1st maybe due to now i care for the characters more and am invested in what is going to happen to them. Also, few characters have come out of their one dimensional roles and are portraying different shades of personality.

Someone recommended The Bridge Bron/Broen here. Done with Season 1 and found it much better than True Detective. The chemistry b/w the 2 detectives is amazing. Great plot and acting.

Done with Firefly. I wouldn't go as far as rating it a 9, but it was a pretty decent show. It's very much like Twin Peaks, in the sense that you would either love it or hate it. I haven't seen Serenity (the movie) yet, but will probably do that this weekend.

Will be starting off with Sons of Anarchy's season 5 this weekend.

The last episode was a bit odd considering the abruptturnaround of Ephraim from a government guy to a vigilante intent on hunting down the reanimated with an old nutjob. He could have easily enlisted the help of the government after showing them the autopsy video and get the job done easily

Watch the movie as well. It was quite decent. Anyways, for the Tv series... **** fox.

I'll do that.

Completed Sons of Anarchy season 5 this weekend and hand down, this was the best season so far. The first 3-4 episodes really brought out the true brutality and some of the scene were extremely shocking and intense. I'd rather hold discussing the spoilers, but if people are on the fence with this show, this season should change your whole perspective. Though, I have to list this track which was stood out in the entire season. Please don't read the YouTube comments.

Done with the 5th season of Two and a Half Men. This show is absolutely EPIC. Not a single dull episode as far as I can remember. It's been consistently hilarious and not just that, it's very witty and well written. This is my favourite scene till now:

Charlie was the life of the show. He was the highest paid TV actor of his time getting paid $1.25 million per episode when the second best paid was getting $550,000 and that too was the guy who played Alan. Next was Hugh Laurie who was paid $400,000 per episode for House.
I haven't been following the show anymore. Stuck for two seasons after Charlie left but it isn't the same fun it used to be. Chuck Lorre would definitely be feeling the truth in Charlie's words when he said that it was him due to which the show was such a success.
