How to Manage your google and facebook accounts ? (AVOID DATA SELLING)

How do you hide your personal and working network from these monsters ?
Kindly request to share answers..


I personally have 2 cells, One used for social networking among everyone.
(whatsapp, facebook, google accounts (around 2 accounts), few other social networking sites.


Other for family only.


Though, these data HUNGRY SITES. steal/play us anyway...

Request for suggestions.
User ads, non-user ads and now targetted ads (location traced ads)..
 
Always browse incognito. Nothing much else you can do other than not use the damn services in the first place.

incognito does nothing when the browser id etc is sent through pixel based fingerprinting, cookies and server side scripts. They know who you are. Even if you don't have an account on FB and your friends have an account, they have all your details like email id, phone number, mutual contacts etc. They do this by scanning facebook contacts and phone contacts and merging them to generate profiles. To be truly incognito, you will have to be friendless, go phoneless and have no life. Or use old ways of contacting people like talking to them face to face.

TOR browser can help a bit. I mentioned incognito because it least it wont allow cookie tracking beyond a single session.

They know all about you even if you don't use the "damn services". They procure so much offline information that at the time you decide to register on Facebook, they already know many details like personal interests, your family details, where you live, where you work, your salary, what you bought recently. What banks you have savings or credit card accounts with and much much more.

Facebook can also make this information available to other parties in the Digital marketing space
 
Yup. They should have been reined in way before they got so big, powerful and pervasive. Stuff like the GDPR now is just too little, too late...

Okay, seriously delete the accounts if possible.
1. buy an iphone, lock down permissions and geo locations.
2. use duckduckgo browser on phone
3. dont install apps if they have a web page. like facebook or ndtv etc...
4. finally, limit phone usage. its good for psychological health.

on pc, have 3 browsers.
1. FF with ublock origin, ghostery and then finally the NoScript plugin.
2. IE/Edge with just ublock origin
3. chrome with no plugins installed.

browse sites first in ff, doesnt work?, switch to IE then finally to chrome when you want to give up.

Thats a bit excessive
 
My friends 3 kids/mom/dad/wife (must say all) ...
Doesnt know how to use internet and details.. (villagers except friend who is doing well)

They (not kids only rest with cell phone access) receive telemarketing calls to fullest (from 9 am till 6 pm) they subscribe to everything.

Anyway or any centralized tool, so that privacy works..

Friend is into chemical stuff... requested for help..

1 adult kid has phone, which can get removed..

His working laptop and home PC flooded with same..
Any tool (if paid) can help..

Kids need acces to pc for school work.
Rest adults need fun/facecook etc. etc.

I am playing a game actively connected via FACEBOOK surprisingly it wont appear anywhere....
While i posted reviews on game page and game groups for micro transactions mess.
 
Now that they have themselves subscribed to every spam, not much can be done as even Dnd wont work in this case due to their own subscription masti mischief. So the only way is to keep notifying their individual operators about the sms or calls but it will be a pain as once your no. gets to these spammers their no. will get circulated easily in the marketing spamming world and the chain automatically just keeps growing. So you unsubscribe one and behind you already got subscribed for ten!

For laptop, you can make use of windows inbuilt parental controls which will help safeguard kids exposure to outside world and in fact can be configured for everyone using the laptop.
Then there are paid tools too which work good but setting up of parental controls should suffice their needs.

ghostery is good compared to adblock plus firefox addon.. too light
