Need suggestions for buying AC

In case you are looking for Mitsubishi then please bear in mind that there are two brands. Mitsubishi Air Conditioner and Mitsubishi Electric. The former is cheaper and consumer grade. The later is heavy duty with long throw. There are multiple dealers in each city. Get a quote from each of them and make them compete for your business. I got a 2 TON, Mitsubishi Electric AC installed last year.
agree, the electrics rock!!

Agree with MHI.... nothing comes close to their performance. But I think MHI machines for a personal room space could be overkill given that it is very powerful. I might be wrong coz I have only experienced 2 ton from them. Don't know if they supply or manufacturer lesser tonnage than 2.
Mhi has varies models from 4 to 5 star which are from 1 ton,1.25ton and 1.5ton, problem is there are very very few dealers for it, let alone service centers. But build quality is top notch.

Guys any experience with Daikin?
They are pretty good, their 5 star models come with factory supplied copper tubes with insulation and ID to OD control wire. Their efficiency particularly the 5 star models are one of the highest in india, only surpassed by MHI..

Ah thanks a lot, got a good deal on a 1 ton 3 star daikin ac(31.5k). Though priced 2k higher than Voltas, loyd etc and similar to a 4 star samsung, a trusted salesman told us that Daikin is the better option.

thats a good deal, do you happen to know what were the price for 1.5T split. Anything below 40k will be better than any other option in this range.

My review of 2 split AC units from LG.
1 is 1.5 ton 6 years old unit. Never done any gas refill. Consumes more electricity comparatively.
Second is a 1 ton 3 star dual inverter ac purchased 3 years ago. This one ia really good. Very low sound and consumes very less electricity.

Just ordered another LG 1 ton 3 star inverter ac 2 days ago.
Overall my experience has been good with LG. City is Jaipur.

Yes, looking for LG, Panasonic or Hitachi.
I enquired with the sales guy, he said that he can give LG for 34k, Panasonic would have cost 39k but they have serious stocking issues here in India and Hitachi is not in stock since they don't provide service in my town.

He said 1.5 tonne best would be to go for blue star or Voltas, which will cost 38-39.

LG/Samsung don't use copper in some part, so it's cheap and not recommended.

Thanks, I got in touch with a dealer and he offered 33k for Daikin https://www.amazon.in/dp/B083KFZKF6/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_fabc_YVD3HMQJ4EYVTYSA4E6E
Samsung for 35k but I am not too keen about Samsung

I have a doubt, hope someone here can clarify. I purchased and LG ac 4 days back which is due for delivery this Friday.
I wanted to know whether it's really necessary to get it installed by the company only? I have a good local mechanic who can install it without any problems and at very low cost.

I don't know current situation but few years back I've opted for a local guy who did a great job as always and I never faced any issue with warranty and stuff

You can, but it will be under the assumption that all the box contents are supplied. If anything is missing and box already opened, the blame squarely falls on the customer. If you let the company guys open the box and if anything is missing then the ball is in company's court. You can have a video unboxing and use it as evidence if something goes missing. How much they accept it depends on them.
If you want, have the company guys unbox and once satisfied that all parts are supplied, get it done from local guy.
@nitin_g3 I am assuming you got it online. Could you plz share the link if the product for my reference?

Thanks @Tejas01 for the suggestion. I'm wondering if I ask company guys to unbox the product, am I bound to get the installation done by them only? I mean why would they just unbox to check if all contents are there and just leave without doing the installation?
Can't I just do an unboxing video myself with the local installation guy?

Here's the Amazon link of the product: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B08R91SXHN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_75TT6G4C7ERNX5Q8JCC9

I know the guys coming just for unboxing won't make sense. This was in case the unboxing video is not accepted as proof by the company guys.
Again, these are based on my assumptions. As kartikoli mentioned, he did it self and no issues. You can also try. Hope others with similar cases give feedback too.
